Having them on cars is bad enough but due to the cheapness they're already falling off and littering the countryside.

Absolute cr@p.
just what I was thinking a few days ago. This thread should really be 'ttty plastic flags in the gutter'

Whoever is making these things must be onto a winner.

What a bunch of po-faced spoilsports.hehe

It's the first world cup in decades that England could actually win. What's wrong with people decorating their cars with flags? If you went abroad and saw the locals doing this you'd probably think it looked great.

Just enjoy it.
fk right off.

It is the very epitome of chavdom. It is the worst kind of band-wagon jumping ever seen. Our proud flag has been hi-jacked by shirtless hooligans in order to "support" their national team. Or, more probably, to give them an excuse to get pissed, shout in the street and indulge in some vandalism and/or fighting.

Hammer, nail, head... thumbup

If it was genuine patriotism, where were the flags when Jensen or Lewis won a GP, or Tim Henman went to Wimbledon (and don't say he didn't have a chance of winning as his track record is probably a bit better than England in the World Cup!)

That flag on the front of the boat came all the way back to Bermuda with me.

Every St George's day, it goes up onto the wall of my office.

Not everyone who flies the flag, is an inbred knuckle-dragger.....

Perhaps these football fans don't like F1 or tennis? Why can't someone be a patriotic England fan and not be interested in any other sport England compete in? Sure people might think it's a bit naff but just because someone flies an England flag on their car during the world cup doesn't make them a chav, thug or a Nazi.

All over the world, people will be putting up dodgy cheapo nylon and plastic national flags, i'm not sure why in the U.K. it's something to be so sniffy about.

Got a few on your car, have you?

I wouldn't mind if they were tasteful stickers in the back window or something, but these stty cheap nasty things that are littering the countryside, while tat-manufacturers grin all the way to the bank, are as far removed from tasteful as you can get.

Again it's the small minority that give the rest of us a bad name, there are far more problems with yobbish behaviour on mainland Europe and South America.
