Riggers,

I'm sure you didn't notice that he kept the steering wheel in one angle when he asked you :-p

Love the part where he goes hands off humiliating the guys in the BMW and just keeps on pushing on smile

Looks like you were pushing on but the in car camera made it look incredibly smooth!

The ride must be very very good!

The smoothness of his driving the his comments about maintaining a constant steering position was interesting.
If you do any training with Colin Hoad at CAT Driver Training, it's what he teaches. And it really works.
Makes sense, every input into the steering you make slows the car down.

I was parked next the Jags in the Nordschleife carpark. Poor show Al, you could have included my sh*tbox in your photographs frown

Good show! That car has amazing body control! I would love to see a direct comparison with one of the german's larger cars. We recently went and sat in a new Xj and the new 740d msport in the same day and I hate to say it (considering I'm a huge Jag fan) that the finish of the beemer I thought was slightly better than the jag's. I loved the way everything worked in the XJ it was a step above anything in it's class, but in terms of space and feel of the materials I was left feeling a bit deflated. what are your thoughts?
I'm suprised to see that. The latest 7 Series must be substantially better than the previous model. I haven't been in the latest 7, but have travelled in the previous one a fair bit (my brother had a 57 plate 740il). The latest XJ is significantly better that that car inside.

It better look bloody smooth with 503bhp propelling it to a leisurely 9min BTG time.

That car could probably go almost a minute faster with somebody who was pushing it decently.

It must be a bit of a WTF moment seeing that appearing in the mirror.

It is. The interior of the one I had a root around in a dealer's was beautifully finished and felt it would last decades.
