I KNEW it looked familiar..!!
For anyone that doesn't know, it's Sheffield a couple of years ago, quite a bit of the city looked like that.

Spotted this one today at Asda in Leeds, made me chuckle!

I was at Pudsey Asda a few days ago when the car park was icy. You couldn't see the lines for love nor money. Still, didn't explain the guy who parked across two spaces next to me. I was right on the outside of the row.
Yep, the top end of the car park was terrible, but this guy parked about 2 minutes after I did and the lines are MORE than visible and everything hehe

That's why I HAD to post it in this thread rofl
I think I know that car...

If it's the same person i'm thinking of...it'll be parked similar to that every time it's parked.smash
Running an irish number plate?
No. It's not him then.

That means there's two of 'em! yikes
rofl we're all dooooooooomed

Saw another fantastic piece of parking today.

There was about 2 feet of room between that and the car next to it.

First post here, thought I'd add my contribution to this thread. Mine was the old Prelude to the right of the pic - came out of work one day to find this. I won't tell you what the note I left on the windscreen said...

OK, you could argue, not a bad parking situation, but not good either. On a day when parking is a premium, this kind thoughtfull chappie just drove in and left it as it came to a halt, he could have had one shunt, and moved over to his right a good 2 ft.

Subseqently, I am approaching from the right, (Multi story car park College Street, Aberdeen), I have to get out ask the guy behind me to wait, whilst I have drive up the slope, reverse back down, and reverse into the car space, took 3 shunts, but I got in, the extra 2ft to my left would have helped enormously. I may even been able to drive in, but personally I prefer to reverse into a car park bay.

Approach to car space

If that wasn't bad enough, coming out, I was stationary for 75 mins on level 8, the exit from the car park has only one lane, and some cars were trying to turn right intwards Bridge St as they exited the car park, (which was choc a bloc), as they couldnt turn right, no one else could exit the car park.

And as the car park attendents have no powers to make drivers turn left, hense the 75 mins wait to get out.

Parking in Aberdeen sucks, and now we have a brand new car park bang in the centre for 1700 extre cars, we are doomed....... doomed I tell you.

Wish I'd got a video but there's a little layby outside my local newsagents. You know the sort - little cutout in the pavement for 2 or 3 cars to park up, generally to go the the local.

I know the geezer who owns the shop pretty well (I used to paperboy for him a few years back) so as I bought some fags I was having a smoke with him outside. As we chatted this old biddy drove along at around 20mph (with a large queue of traffic behind her), and went to park in the layby. She swung in and mounted the pavement (the layby's wide enough for most cars, I've never seen anybody have a problem parking, even the odd Ferrari or F150), before reversing straight into the road without looking, causing the cars behind her to swerve out of the way. She attempted again, this time ending up about two feet away from the pavement. As she went to straighten up she drove into the kerb in front of her (where the layby ended), and as she came off it she managed to scrape her bumper. After a few minutes she eventually parked directly in the middle of it, effectively not leaving any room for anybody else to safely/decently park in it. She hobbled off down the road, and at this point I decided to go back home too.

This woman's known to us. Earlier in the year she drove into the side of our house (no bullst, I'm not making this up) causing £10,000 worth of damage; our conservatory had to be rebuilt thanks to her driving. Apparently she's written off 3 cars in the last year.

Kinda makes you wonder, eh?

e multistory in College Street is shyte.

Poor design and muppets make for difficult parking.

And as you say, the exit is utter pants.

God help anyone not from Aberdeen trying to park there.....

PS: Fit like? biggrin

Guess they put a lot of thought into the new one in Union Square?, makes me laugh, they open a new 1700 space car park, and then have the balls to put up signs, on the lines, "Reduce congestion, use the bus", beggers belief really. And in the P & J last week, someone said "Since the Union Square opened, congestion in the city centre has got worse", bet he has a degree in rocket science!

They had some function on at the local mosque and the level of crap parking was unbelievable. People had parked literally in the main road, on red lines, blocking an entire cycle lane, a bus stop, parts of a bus lane, as well as effectively reducing the busy two-lane road into a single lane. I wouldn't have minded if the traffic was caused just by them coming out of their car park normally (as I'm sure we create a bit of backlog on our runs!) but the ridiculous parking in the road didn't help matters much.

They also act like they own that piece of road, so cars were pulling out and cutting other road users up left right and centre; while I was sitting in the queue I did see a few close calls. Some lads in a Corsa came so close to sideswiping me, if I'd have been going any faster than I was I'm sure I would have hit them. Did watch in disbelief as they cut across every single lane at the next turning before haring through a red light and round a blind bend. I'm not one to condone injury but I'm hoping there was a large truck coming the other way smile

Edit: In the third picture below, the Mercedes and Passat are some of the cars parked inside the bus stop.

Disclaimer: Images taken from the back seat.

Edit: fixed images.

What a tool, someone did that at Waitrose, Surbiton, had to walk all the way back around to the other side in mad heat in the summer after a bad day of car-hunting. Not happy.

Asda Southgate, not a safe place to park.

Even the lower level you are guaranteed to find a trolley just left abandoned close to your car.

Hate that place.

What I couldn't understand is that the rest of the car park was pretty empty. What a tool indeed.

Yep, lost a door mirror down there last year. Someone had 'thoughtfully' placed it under my rear offside wheel for me to drive over when I pulled away.
What friendly people there are out there.

Newbury Tesco early on 2nd January. A handy drop off zone to leave a 4x4 when there's a dusting of snow. Admittedly the car park was one third full so there were only about 400 empty spaces.

Maybe they thought the sign said breakdown point. And figured they best put it there...
