Ah yes, M135i? They remind me a little of V6 Exige wheels too.

I tried to show the GT3 badge the contempt it deserved by not mentioning it. hehe

Perhaps it's just me but these later wheels seem to suit a 996 very well.

Shame it's an auto.

Wheels look quite good. But I think I prefer these:

On the silver car, Tiptronic obviously disappointing and gt3 badges dispicable...

Cars look great but I had a quick look through previous auctions and they seem to set estimates low to draw in the bidders...

Me too - mine came from the factory with the gopping Turbo alloys, and swapping a set of these on was a condition of purchase.

Im fairly sure the previous owner of this gt3 owns a company near where I work in Suffolk. He also owns a stunning black CGT amongst various Aston's ect, the CGT sounds glorious though and its a treat every time he takes it to work, he even opened the boot so I could have an ogle. He has quite the collection, might even be a member on here

What's the big silver toggle by the gear lever?

At a guess, I'd say that is a homemade reverse lockout.

I don't think I've ever seen one that big before though.
They're normally more a fingertip device, aren't they?

I've also seen them used as a security device (with a padlock or similar) to lock the car in gear (or neutral) when parked.

Not sure this is one of those though. Given the car's hillclimbing background my money is on the reverse lockout - it does nothing to help achieve FTD if reverse is selected for the hairpin instead of second. wink

They have a lot of nice cars in stock, based about a mile from my office.

I'll take both please!!

Zanzibar Red 996 looks very tasty - the wheels are lovely. And the 4.1 conversion sounds like it would be "adequate"...
Manual 355 looks very purposeful with suede wheel and harnesses.

2 excellent spots.
