Has an Ascari ever appeared in this thread ?

Only ever seen one on a racetrack AFAIK.
I've only ever seen one on topgear, a yellow one with a positively pornographic exhaust note
Wasn't Ascari set up to act as a giant tax loophole by some rich guys whilst making a car they wanted? (note; might be absolute bks)

No idea to be honest, I've had a google but can't find a mention of it

I quite like the idea of that though

Meh, looks like a mildly shaped dark blob in that colour, could be any number of cars

Now a nice bright colour showing off the lines, that's what it needs!

Do those Blue Badge disabled parking permits come as standard issue on supercars? I have yet to find a driver who has 'severe difficulty' in walking or accompanying a passenger who has a disablility.
It may surprise you to know that not everyones disabilities are obvious. I know someone who is terminally ill and unable to walk very far but most days looks fine. She regularly gets abuse for using her blue badge.
Thank you, I'm not surprised as clearly your friend sadly is entitled. My perhaps rather glib comment was not aimed at people with a recognised disability (whether visible or not) but rather the practice of those who abuse the scheme and spoil it for those genuinely entitled.

Now let's get back on topic

I work with a guy who is paralysed from the waist down following a severe car accident as a passenger in a 911 that left him in a coma for several years and dead several times.

Anyway - since his accident he has had various ferraris and Astons and Bentleys. He has a Lambo Hurracan at the moment and has had a Mclaren 650 on test for the last week. The sports cars are his toys, his daily is a merc S class, but I think he is about to order a RR Wraithe. He has a blue badge and will park in disabled spaces occasionally.

I've seen one in the wild at a petrol station in Banbury...I think they used to be built somewhere around there. Unfortunately I have no pictures. It was however, beautiful and attracted a crowd very quickly (me included).

It must be crazily expensive to have all those cars converted to hand controls, good on him for not letting his disability ruin his passion for cars

Hi there,

Some of the ones I have photographed are in my Flickr album

Four road cars and three race cars.

I suspect that appeals to several owners.

For every person that would love to be seen driving a bright red LaFerrari through London there is probably another thinking they would look like an attention seeking d1ck and rather something a bit more subtle.

I love the CGT, and I usually love Speed Yellow, but the two together I'm not so sure about.
