Yesterday, I dropped my dad's 2012 Jazz off at the dealers to have some minor work done. I was given a brand spanking new EX Jazz as a courtesy car. I couldn't thrash it. No matter how hard I tried. It was totally gutless. It also had silly lights on the binnacle that changed colour from green (natch) to dark blue if the revs were raised in anything like an aggressive manner.
Would there be something in the ECU to stop it being thrashed before it was run in? Bloody love thrashing mine.

The general idea is to park in the bay, if some other irriot parks one bay plus one ahead of you and overhangs the bay into the one you have abandoned your wheels in, that bays has gone. FFS is it to difficult to have a quick look before abandoning your vehicle.

Usual bunch of other "Rules don't apply to me" crap drivers in Duthie Park today, they drive up the kerb, which can't do any good to your tyres, and park on the grass if the spaces are occupied instead of driving out and parking elsewhere. They have spend thousands on this park this last year, and the grass is being ruined by these inconsiderate tts.

Bet they don't park on the grass at home.

See this is why I think that after a certain age you should have regular driving tests etc.
Honda should automatically give one to people that buy a Jazz.biggrin
When I bought my first Jazz, There was a questionaire to fill in before I signed the sales document.

1...Do you regularly drive at approx 50mph?
2...Do you often forget to cancel your indicators?
3...Do you 'flash' other drivers from time to time?
4...Do you drive in the middle lane of motorways for no good reason?
5...You have been known to enter a road and have no idea why?

I got 100%. The sales person said, 'Sign here'.
When I bought mine I was probably the youngest owner for a newish Jazz by a decade or three and the only one they had sold a Jazz to that didn't also own walking sticks. First thing I did was thrash it down the DC on the way home cool
Being a sprightly 67, I have never 'thrashed' my Jazz along any thoroughfare.
Try it, you might be surprised smile I don't like how the rev limiter and the traction control just switch the ignition off...

'Aggressive' is considered a profanity amongst us 'Jazzies'. (By jove, I think I just invented a new motoring sub-group)

'Thrashing your Jazz' sounds like a thoroughly disgusting, if enjoyable habit.
Yes. A neighbour caught me at it the other day.

I dont get this love that people seem to have for parking half on the pavement. Outside my house yesterday, ignoring the fact that people have failed to use the car park supppied but have parked in the road, amittedly perfectly legally. Two people, about an hour apart decided to park with 2 wheel on the pavement. No reason to at all as the road is wide enough all they succeeded in doing is closing off a pavement.

Presumably day 3 of the staff induction is dedicated to terrible parking.

Tragically didn't get a photo as I was driving at the time but came across a pair of E.ON branded vehicles "parked" in *the* most idiotic places I've ever seen.
On a Sunday so while outside a church still hardly rammed and we have an Aygo (or similar) parked on the centre hatchings here https://goo.gl/maps/Cmygdwiy5Rx between the keep left bollard/town centre sign and the roundabout. And then a van parked the other side here https://goo.gl/maps/xJDiAL1NqTQ2 just the otherside of the keep left bollards.

Now I understand that they want to park close to where there working but they could have parked perfectly normally just 5m or so further down the road!

I think that the reason people now seem to park half road and half pavement regardless of road width is that they are lazy and do not have the skill to park with their wheels close to the pavement.

Maybe they have damaged their wheels in the past so now it's just easier to bump it up on the pavement - job done

Round by me people actually complain if you park against the kerb!

Wasted 20 mins waiting while important selfish tt of a builder "gone to cafe". Yes thats a "please keep gates clear" sign on the right, one of several.

His lackey sat in the van was terribly apologetic but couldn't move it. Of course when the alpha knuckle dragger gets back there's not so much as a "sorry mate" from him.

So his lackey couldn't release the handbrake and move it 4ft to let you out? Why?
