A 6k Maser with no MOT and which has previously been smashed in? Yep, sounds like a complete bargain and you should purchase it immediately and report back. advert said:
The car needs airbag lights resetting and rear view mirror for MOT. Need space so grab a barging! !!
Also... distinct lack of gravel drive... somewhat
I haven't seen this E320 estate pop up yet, looks lovely to me:
My A6 has been reduced again to £4750, the number of watchers is going up so we'll see if anyone bites.
Plus the vendor can't spell bargain!
Maybe he is referring to this thread?
Also... distinct lack of gravel drive... somewhatWhat could possibly go wrong . I wouldn't touch that with someone else's bargepole.

That said, the MOT history is reasonable, and it had 2x new shocks in 2014. It also has a history of the airbag light illuminating, probably classic Italian wiring.

YUP........a massive bargain..........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......run 93 million miles....ie to the SUN!!!
I've owned a 4200, do weeks of research, speak to 10/12 owners, drive 5/6 of them, then offer them 1/2 of what they are looking and have a £5K warchest.........IMHO
P
had my 1999 XJR in for some work. Full service, replace MAF sensor, replace throttle body, some drop links £741.00. Got the car back today and it is driving unbelievable well. It is really great when you get your car back and the garage has managed to make the thing much better at a reasonable cost!

Having said that, it is cheap - about half the price of the next quattroporte for sale - which is a cat d.
Still not for me - even drunk and snorting crushed up brave pills.

A pretty rare E34 5 Series 525IX.
As he has no clue regarding price I am sure it could be had for much less.

So far in my 10 months of ownership and 8000 miles of an '03 X350 XJ6, pretty good.
I spent a lot of time looking and paid slightly over the average for mine, 1 owner (retired and an MBE no less) with 96k, FJSH - £40 per wiper blade fitted! - and receipt for a new gearbox at 70k (they all do that according to my local Jag specialist) but it's rewarded me with a super comfortable cruiser that does just under 30mpg, which is astonishing given the size.
Slight weep of oil from either the sump or the crank nose, we're yet to determine which but the specialist doesn't seem to concerned, just cleaned up and told me to bring it back in a couple of weeks so he can see where it's coming from.
I never 'got' Jags before this, but it's really wormed it's way into my affection.
I put 60k miles on a X350 3.0, and have so far put 30k miles on my X350 Super V8 (same as XJR).I spent a lot of time looking and paid slightly over the average for mine, 1 owner (retired and an MBE no less) with 96k, FJSH - £40 per wiper blade fitted! - and receipt for a new gearbox at 70k (they all do that according to my local Jag specialist) but it's rewarded me with a super comfortable cruiser that does just under 30mpg, which is astonishing given the size.

The 3.0 had only two problems beyond normal servicing - an electrical fault which cost £800 to fix, albeit £500 of that was due to garage incompetence. And the heater resistor broke, which I replaced for £40 with a part from eBay (I'm mechanically inept but even I managed to do it myself)
The Super V8 has just thrown the same problem, but as I now live abroad I had to pay £162 for a heater resistor direct from Jag, again fitted it myself. I'm looking to get the callipers refurbed at some point, but otherwise it seems fine.
Considering that's a total of 90k miles across 2 cars which were already high mileage to start with, and got driven very hard, I'm extremely happy reliability wise. Plenty of people pay more to run mundane hatchbacks over the same period. And, as people have already mentioned, MPG is very good for the type of car - an XJR will easily manage 30 on a run, and a 3.0 one will manage 35.
