Internet tells me an E46 is 4471mm x 1739mm (excluding door mirrors). Length looks be fine, but I think you'll find it tricky getting the door open enough to get in and out comfortably.
Luckily I am quite skinny, but I'm wishing now I had power folding wing mirrors.

My 1960s garage just fits the 360, I have less than 2" on either side and the garage is 3" longer overall than the car, so it's rather tight!

That's impressive! I'd like to watch the struggle getting in/out!

I have to get the car in and out of the garage with the roof down and then climb over the driver's door to get out, then lean back in through the window to put the roof up, turn the ignition off and extract the keys!

For obvious reasons it goes in the garage in September, comes out in April and lives on my drive under a nice cover during the summer, no way I'm faffing like this every day lol

And I don't blame you at all for that! I'm looking for a more day-to-day, or at least once-a-week, option.

The house I'm buying has a garage - not sure if you can actually fit a car into it though, she tight! Massive improvement from the "casual parking" at my current flat. Really looking forward to a driveway and garage!

Anyone know what the minimum practical garage size is? I know this one is 5.03m x 2.21m.
Length is good 16.5 feet but with is only 7.2feet which is very tight.

The average width of a car is 1.8m wide so you might struggle to open a door in a garage that narrow.

Are you sure the garage is only 2.21m wide? My garage is very narrow and is 2.38m wide. My MX-5 just fits with enough space to squeeze out.

Yet for me, as /when the garage build is done, the K'archer / Typ Pressure washer would be located and semi plumbed in near the front door - with an extension hose.

Using mine today, I was wondering why I never bought a hose extension before...... it just takes that fk around on of dragging around a pressure washer here and there as you work around the cars / driveway.....
Did similar on mine, softened water supply and retractable 40ft pressure line, just reels it self away...it is never a chore. I used a karcher steam cleaner but same concept.

I also have a garavac 40ft extendable wall mounted garage vac.

You could do with some carpet screwed to the wall, makes opening the door much easier

That's according to the plans of the house.

Your garage definitely looks bigger than the one at this place...

Talk to me about Floor coatings, please?

Do I paint, epoxy, ceramic tile or plastic tile?

Any recommendations, pros and cons, costings muchly appreciated.

We bought a house with a tiled garage. Not knowing how well they'd been laid I was dubious about how they'd stand up but a year in they've been great. I've lifted cars directly onto them without any issues, dropped oil and brake fluid all over them, they're very easy to clean. I managed to drop a trolley jack from waist height onto them and it only left a couple of small blemishes on one tile.

Nice. I spy a mag mount for a 2960 on the garage door. I've never seen one of those actually used to mount a switch. biggrin

biggrin I have one on each door (for no particular reason other than it was somewhere to stick them). They came from Egg - remember them?!
