its a Sylva J15 (I cheated and looked up the reg.. i thought it was a fisher fury but the lights weren't right)..
i love this thread - but wish i'd never seen it!!! the transformation of my own measly garage is now underway due to impending delivery of new toy - it'll need to be done on the 'cheap' photos to follow..

I had to cut it down as I have restricted height
the floor is epoxy paint - well worth it as soo east to wipe clean split fluids

Looks ideal for the smaller garage. Unfortunately the lifting blocks appear to be 135mm off the ground and there's no way my TVR would clear that. In your experience what ground clearance do you need to get over this?I had to cut it down as I have restricted height

Many thanks for that. Presumably you needed to re-enforce the floor? I'm going through a garage build at the mo so now would be the ideal time to spec it etc.I had to cut it down as I have restricted height

Yes to an reinforced floor and if doing a new build, recess the lift into the floor so that the lifting frame is a flush finish
There are some directives such as don't drill into the slab closer than about 6" from the edge
The lift I used came with 10 19mm ground anchors.

The standard post height is 2.6 metres
My ceiling height is 2.45metres
I chopped 20cms off the top of the post using a grinder/cutter to enable the column to fit upright.
The way this lift works, it has a large chain with one end fixed to the inside of the column about 2/3 the way up, and there is a big vertical hydraulic ram with a pulley on top mounted in the base of the post. The chain goes over the ram pulley and down to the lifting frame that slides up the post. As one end of the chain is fixed, for each inch the ram extends, the frame lifts 2 inches - consequently for each inch the post is reduced in height, the max lift is reduced by double.
Although the lift height on my lift is reduced, it's ample for my storage/car maintenance needs
The lift controls work at 24V, so its easy to insert a maximum lift cut off switch is desired - ie switch off the hydraulic pump when the lifting frame gets to a curtain height
