Is this a picture taken on a really long exposure, with someone running around with a torch?
I thought it was just a pic from a dubbers secret stash scanned after using it to "relax in a gentlemans fashion"

Let's put it back on track then.

Possibly reposts as the guy is on PH but I'll risk it.

No air ride, chrome bling or shaved anything. Just 549bhp / 491ftlb torque from a modded LS1

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-car-projects...

He was selling it to fund another version of his previous LS1 conversion which put 421 BHP / 406 ft/lb in the front of something you really wouldn't expect.

Both cars built not bought.

laugh I know what air suspension is. I've driven plenty Citroen ZX's.

How does air suspension ride when at a useable height?
Er...the ZX didn't have air suspension rolleyes

Glad I'm not the only one here who doesn't like massive wheels and lowered suspension.

In fact I'm bit of a fan of the total opposite, a mate of mine used to drive this. biggrin

That Jagermeister'd M3 is lovely.

Those "Dub" things are not. They are just tragic!

I don't understand all the hate for the Dub scene. It's not for me, but surely it is better than all stick on plastic crap that used to get snotted all over small hatchbacks?
Same folk following a different scene with the same levels of individualism.

In other words, taking what started out as decent mods and then over-doing it until it looks crap, doesn't function very well and becomes the total opposite of what the good mods were done for in the 1st place.

I like the look of this s2000:

The irony is that car gets as much crap on s2ki as the VAG cars did here.

On every forum for every make/model of car there will be purists, enthusiasts, new age, old school blah blah blah...........Moral of the story? You cant please everyone. Dont try to. If its your thing then great, but dont shove it upon other folk.

I personally like SOME of the VAG stuff.

Those LS1 powered Lexus and E30..........ooooooooooooofffffffff! cool

UUUh no...

Respect is earned not given and the two cars i commented on deserve no respect merely ridicule.

On the cover of PPC this month:

600hp supercharged Mercedes V12
1072kg with driver and fuel
Suspension off a C4 Corvette

I've read about it in ppc this month and to be honest I don't really like it (mainly because of the aero kit) there are plenty of other 600bhp cobras around that: a) don't shout about it quite so much, b) weigh a lot less & c) a cobra with a german V12 just doesn't seem right.
That said it is definitely decently modified with very good attention to detail so fits in with the thread much better than recent contributions.

I have to agree it just seems to be trying too hard.

That thing looks like it needs guns in the grill and the guy behind the wheel should wear an iron mask!! I love it!

Would have been nicer without all the carbon bits, and without the blower poking out the bonnet.. Plenty of race Cobras seem to manage without that huge a front splitter... Overall, I do like the idea of a V12 Merc powered modern looking Cobra though.

The Forester needs taller suspension, it looks out of proportion like that.

I disagree I think it looks good in the top picture but the body roll on the second does make it look out of proportion. Looks built for purpose so can't fault him for having it low.

I love when someone does something off the wall. Heard a sound of it on YouTube, sounded fantastic. However, it was quoted as over 1000 bhp, seeing how the N/A V12 put out over 400 with stock computer.
