That Gamma is a beauty, but aren't they the ones that if you start the engine when you've got full lock on you could snap the cambelt and total the engine?
Yes early models could do that, I think they moved something (steering column?) so it didn't happen on later ones. I like the suggestion of a tail fin at the rear. Wish they'd used a similar dash to the Trevi.1988 Metrocab with 900,000 miles for £500? Fond memories of bouncing around in these on the way back from various dodgy nightclubs in Coventry.

I am finding the chat on the wrong green 1100 with the 1300 engine interesting.
I didn't notice the sprayed over brake lines. I'm not sure I'd spot what others are posting about it.
Interesting comment about the old early 80s 200E/200T Audis. They were classier, better looking cars those days. Audis looked restrained up to about the B5 A4 and C5 A6 IMO.

I posted that badboy in a 'high milers' thread months ago. Sad to see its still for sale... RetroRides is a rather spiffing site for shed hunting imho.http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/174837/1998...
I've got the worlds shortest, rat-run commute, so Im sorely tempted by this. Someone really should take this over the mil... I would, but it would take me forever!
Imagine it'll have an interior fragrance all of its own by now...

Yes, but I am led to believe the ownership of 4 star has changed and standards are not what they were. That could be bks of course. http://www.4startrade.com/BMW-840ci-For-Sale/

Hey - I recognise those pics. I took them when the previous owner (my neighbour) was selling to the current owner.Funkycoldribena said:

At least the questionable metallic green 1100 has pressed silver on black plates.
Yes, pretty ironic. For those of us who lived through that era - everyone was desperately ripping off their old fashioned black and silver plates and putting on the newer style reflective ones. I would bet a substantial sum that the car was supplied with reflective plates when new. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
