Big story in the Sevenoaks chronicle about this. He has been arrested on false imprisonment charges and bailed. The car didn't belong to her it was her fathers car for his business.

So Mr Palmer states no knee jerk reaction and is talking to police, I would expect him to keep going until the kid is charged with something fairly comprehensive to prevent it being copied elsewhere.

Will be interesting to see just what comes of it.

Jonathan Palmer, MSV chief executive, MSV, said: “I am very angry about this idiotic stunt, which is unprecedented. It is clear from the video filmed inside the car that the driver was determined to find a way to access the circuit and disrupt the race, without any thought as to the potential consequences of his actions.

“This was a deliberately reckless act which endangered competitors and marshals and ruined the race for competitors and spectators.

“We are in close contact with Kent Police and we will be doing everything we can to support a successful criminal prosecution. I am pleased to learn that an arrest has been made.

“Within seconds of this car going on to the track, the circuit was red-flagged to stop the race. Systems are in place to restrict circuit access to inappropriate vehicles, but of course an attempt to sabotage a race in this fashion is difficult to completely prevent given its deliberate and unexpected nature.

“All race meetings are run by MSA-registered organising clubs which are responsible for managing circuit activity, and clearly we will review procedures with clubs and the MSA to see what lessons can be learnt.

“However, there should be no knee-jerk reactions in response to this stupidity.”

He was arrested for false imprisonment and then bailed to return to the police station at a later date. In the meantime, the CPS will decide if he'll be charged with false imprisonment (of his female passenger) and / or any other offences.

Aggravated trespass is a possibility. The boat race nutter wasn't charged with the same as the offence must be on land. The nutter was charged and later convicted of the common law offence of causing a public nuisance. He got six months. For reference, aggravated trespass has a maximum sentence of three months.

I'd expect a custodial sentence if charged. If lucky then it'll be suspended. His attitude since the offence will be communicated to the court - who I'd anticipate will take a very dim view of the lack of remorse shown - probably making the difference between an immediate custodial sentence as opposed to a suspended custodial sentence.

Or more precisely; "Don't sue the lad as he may bring us in as a co-defendant, and we don't want to risk that".

The spineless little tit is even blaming the girl involved. I like the way she's asked it be made clear he is NOT her boyfriend.

The Polo belongs to Saskia’s father, Simon, who co-owns a vehicle repair company in Vestry Road industrial estate.
Given the above, I doubt Mr Fisk gave permission for the pond life to take the car. Perhaps there maybe TDA/TWOC'ing involved?

Or even more precisely (given the actual context) "We won't be building gates/barriers/increase staff/lock all garages immediately without due deliberation over this unusual and deliberate incident".

C'mon zzzzzzzzzz, the meaning is plain, no need to twist it.

He seems to be fostering the belief that he received a payout from The Sun for his story. I think that's pretty unlikely though.

I know it's childish but some of the comments on his Facebook page did raise a smile. He genuinely seems to think he's done some sort of service to Health and Safety!

In the last hour Saskia has "broken her silence"...

http://www.sevenoakschronicle.co.uk/EXCLUSIVE-Terr...

Interesting first 'comment' made under the story:

"I saw Saskia exit the car after this incident. Rarely have I seen someone so distraught. She had to be helped to a seat in the garage and comforted by two of the lady marshals that Jack had eluded a few minutes earlier. While Saskia was crying her eyes out, Jack was laughing and joking about his exploit."

pretty much synonymous, but both usually include getting away with "skill or cleverness"! No chance this piece of pondlife showed any of THAT! smile

The good thing is after all his Facebook fkwittery, there is zero chance his lawyer can use the age old " he is sorry about what he did" to get him a lighter sentance

Think the worse thing is he took his so called friend and her car against her will around the track. She clearly protested and tried to grab the wheel at one point.

He is knob of the highest order!

it wasnt his car and the owner/owners daughter protested!

If it was his car it would of been less aggravating for me.

She genuinely seems to have been badly shook up!

"I am very angry about this idiotic stunt, which has appeared in every Herbie movie ever made and therefore it never crossed our minds that it could be emulated in real life. It is clear from the video that the driver was easily able to drive straight onto the circuit without anyone noticing, which is very embarassing for all of us."
