The back is the worst part. It's dull, and the circular parts (top cut off) in the lights look like sleepy or lazy eyes, and they're too close together making it look a bit 'special'.The cut off circle does not have to have this sleepy look however, as jaguar have got it right recently... the f-type looks angry or grumpy...
Alfa got it fairly right with the Brera too IMO which also looked angry/grumpy...

I might have mild OCD but that "leaping cat" Jaguar Logo upsets me. Surely a car needs a bit of symmetry on it's rear end? I would have to change or delete it before purchasing/leasing one of these Given the average age of a Jaguar driver, a leap to the 'left' is practically unheard of.

Change it to what? The legendary two-arsed, no-headed Big Cat of Gaydon?Review of how it drives available at midnight for any keen folk:

Sounds very promising. Also looks a lot better in blue than the fridge white they've been showing so often. Just need to get past that bland interior...http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/2015-ja...

I think it's generally accepted that the front looks good, but IMO it looks especially good in black and de-chromed.monamimate said:

Saw this in the flesh in my local Jaguar showroom yesterday - is a beautiful looking car in the flesh, photos don't do it justice.
Lovely low slung driving position and the interior looks and feels really nice.
The indicator/wash-wipe/ stalks have a really nice feel to them as does all the other switch gear.
With the reviews now out, highly rating this car I think there may be a new ultimate 'ultimate driving machine' on the block!

It certainly has every right to be a better drive than a 3 series. 'The Ultimate Driving Machine' is of course ridiculous, but for a saloon car I strongly believe nothing's ever got close to a 3 series for driving pleasure through the corners. The XE may well not just be close, but it may be even better! I'm certainly tempted by what I've seen so far Lovely low slung driving position and the interior looks and feels really nice.

I'm not really bothered about how a car looks, but I think the black one in the photo above looks very nice indeed

Bearing in mind how many of these cars are bought in no-extra-cost white, it needs to look good in white. See an IS300h for an example of how to do it. This photo may be unkind but to my eyes, that doesn't look great.I'd like this to be good, but I have to say that if one were looking for an alternative to a 320d then an IS300h looks more interesting than this at the moment. Time will tell, but I hope to be wrong.
It was on large wheels and had one of those green/red/chrome S badges on the front. It looked better than the above photo suggested. It wasn't "Miura" beautiful (or even "F type" beautiful) but it was a relatively neat and handsome design. Some would call it anonymous, some would call it subtle. I would have liked one on my driveway in a darker colour.
Anyway, for the TL; DR crowd the reason I'm reposting is this: the above photo isn't flattering and in spite of my first opinion it does look better in the metal. I still think an IS300h looks better.
