It's Christmas, so I feel posting lovely cars that slightly stretch budget is okay. It's a 6.3, with an epic roadtrip home possible.

Just look at this. Lovely. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C700084

Peas & rice! The seat control buttons are out of some heavy industrial machinery, like an automated anvil factory or something.

Wonder if it's spent it's whole life in Oz... If so, it'll be pretty immaculate underneath. If only I had $50k frown

That is fantastic. Couple of grand for shipping, and you'd have a terrific car for not (very) much money. Great spot.

I dunno, but I can't see why it wouldn't be at that age?

It'd end up a very different beast if you drove it home.

I like a challenge. If you gave me a huge sack of money, I'd happily go and get it for you.

Not as nice as the green one, and in a somewhat less exotic location, but it is cheaper (actually in budget) and it is easier to view.

The dealer has some appealing stock.

Oof!

I remember, when I were a nipper, that I had a toy Merc (was it the Dinky or Corgi... the slightly bigger, better ones!) which was in metallic red and had opening doors, boot and bonnet - hence one of my favourites. I've only just got round to grown up Mercedes ownership this year (45 years later) but the nostalgia trip just looking at some of those curves and grilles.....

If that was RHD I would have already owned it. I have looked at it on and off and for some reason cant bring myself to buy a LHD car.

Can't compete with style and comfort but there's something I really like about these, especially in this condition: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1981-W-Talbot-Sunbeam-Ti...

Crikey, don't see many now

They must be rarer than Lotus ones now
