I've driven a K-Series Metro. Trim wise it was something like a GTa if it wasn't a GTa. Could it have been a Metro 1.4Si?
Pretty sure there was both - saw a Metro advertised recently with a 1.4 engine so it peaked my interest. Thought it must be a GTa but was an Si - no idea what that trim level means though.Snow and Rocks said:
Not quite the same but I've been cruising around in our slightly decrepit old Accord Tourer today and I'd forgotten how pleasant it is. Everything feels natural and intuitive, and despite it being the fully equipped Exec model the controls can all be operated without so much as a second glance. It shows up the Tesla MY I've been also driving as the ergonomic disaster zone that it really is.
Even the ride quality and road noise insulation is on another level - so much for progress!
Just been ogling this example - Even the ride quality and road noise insulation is on another level - so much for progress!

Slight budget creep
Actually looks quite good.
Can’t get a photo to post on my phone: it’s a deroofed Cavalier.
No. No it doesn't. Judging by the mileage, even the person who bought didn't actually want to take it anywhere someone might see them in it.Actually looks quite good.

That Accord looks pretty good - would be interesting to see how it drives in Type S spec. Ours is obviously in pensioner Exec spec with 16 inch wheels and beige leather but is still pretty decent to drive for what it is. Reminds me a bit of a Peugeot 405/406 - quite softly sprung with quite a bit of body roll but somehow still feels controlled and easy to place.
The engine and manual box are typical Honda, revs sweetly to 7k+ revs and nice short throw.
Thanks for the shed/roof box/bothy! comments - was originally the outside toilet and coal shed.

Trouble with these is they are not safe. I know same can be said for a lot of convertibles but by this era the idea of rolling a convertible and living to tell the tale was a reality for most models.
How often are you rolling cars? I've been driving fast for 30+ years and never come close to rolling a car
I only know one person who has rolled a car (he was fine as he had harnesses in it which probably tells you all you need to know about how he drove it)
I know many people who have died in 'normal' car accidents so fear of rolling is somewhere below a lightening strike
I like having seat belts but after that I'm not too bothered
