Ginetta G33. Sold it to a guy in France over 10 years ago, would have been very difficult to register there due to some modifications there I think.

Never heard another word about it, never saw another picture of it. Would have thought something would have turned up.

Reg was K15 DDD.

I would love to know where my late dad's 159 is. I don't think I have a photo of it, the reg was OY56 ABZ, it was an Alfa red saloon with tan leather, 2.4JTDM. It was showing up as taxed and MOT'd until last year when it just disappeared. I'm hoping it hasn't been scrapped and just gone onto a private plate, it had quite a few miles (I think coming up to 200k) last time I checked and it wasn't that reliable when he had it from 2009 to 2011, he only got rid of it due to poor reliability.

Out of all the cars he had this was my definite favourite, I almost bought a 159 myself in 2016 but my Dad persuaded me against it, got a brand new Corsa Limited Edition (don't know what I was thinking) instead of I think an 08 159, probably a smarter decision, but still think I should have got the Alfa. I think once I've had a few years out of my Astra (I actually really like my Astra, odd I know) I think I'll go to an Alfa, as I guess there will be a replacement for the Giulietta coming before long.

Trying to track down a 1971 Blue Beetle, registration DLL 683J. Was sold to a family friend in the 2000s who then traded it into a Suzuki dealership some years later. Assuming it was then sent off to auction?? Posted on VW forums about it but with no luck!

2 years ago I bought back the only car I regretted selling my HSV GTS-R. I had to sell it as I was in the process of divorce. I bought it back from the chap I sold it to who had kept it for 7 years. She is now safely tucked away in storage and comes out over the summer.

I found her by trawling a car auction web site on a regular basis, and when I say regular, every day.

Looking for the whereabouts of a Mini Cooper British Racing Green, I sold it 20 years ago, think it went to the Western Super-Mare area. The number plate was H3 JPE!

The usual MOT history & DVLA reg check didn't find anything.

I've been trying to track down my old VW camper which I sold about 8 years ago. Checked DVLA and it hasnt been taxed/MOT'd since November 2018;

Reg - OKM 661P
Green and White 1976 Volkswagen Type 2.

I'd love to know where it is now. I think I sold it to a family somewhere near Gloucester or maybe Hereford area.

Trying to track down an old Ford Anglia Rally car... No info on the government MOT database, and pre-tax year so might be a bit of a long shot but the licence plate was:
OLW 397E

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Lot's of fond memories with a now deceased Grandpa.

Hello Guys and Gals, I'm trying to trace a LHD 1987 shortbed Toyota Pickup (see Pics below) registration D173 LEL. I saw it on eBay a while back that at the time I couldn't buy as had no where to keep it while I worked on it. Now I do!!

If anyone knows of this truck, or its where abouts, I'd be grateful for any info!!

It's not, unfortunately in my watch list anymore. Unless there is some way to retrieve an archive of old stuff. It hit reserve and sold for 2K. I saved the pictures from the listing at the time. It was for sale in Christchurch, if my memory serves me correctly in July 2016. I remember the guy said he'd brought it back from France. It had a 22R motor and one interesting flaw was that the fuel gauge read in reverse. It looked like a US spec SR5 to me, but I could be wrong!

It was advertised as having no MOT, and to this day, still doesn't, but must of been MOT'd when purchased in July 2016 as the MOT ran out August 2017 on the DVLA db. It's not on SORN, hasn't been registered exported, so I'm guessing, and hoping, it's tucked away somewhere and will hopefully re-surface!

I had a TR7 many years ago that has been 'unlicensed' since 2005 and I thought it must have been scrapped, but, low and behold, it turned up on eBay last year!

If anyone, sees, or hears the whereabouts of this truck, you can ping me a line at iansandersroofing@gmail.com. I'd be very grateful indeed!!

Thanks for you help guys and keep your eyes peeled!!

Thanks
Ian

While this thread is on the main page i'll post this up biggrin

Would love to find my old 205 Gti 1.6 Sorrento Green G110 VGE

It left me in early 07, my mate then sold it to a chap in Hamilton. I saw it then for sale in the yellow paper mot'd and presumably with the blue smokescreen fault fixed but my now wife told me not to buy it back as my dad would be mad

Its last mot ran out in 2011, had a keeper change in 2016 and is in the Forth Valley area of Scotland somewhere.

Thanks

I reckon its not on the road. Unlikely to be scrapped. This is a common case with some cars, they aren't classed as SORN as nobody has bothered stating that the car is SORN. I believe you don't actually have to state the car is SORN. There are numerous cars parked in peoples garages and gardens not showing as SORN.
Somewhere, I have a photo of me standing next to this car at Silverstone. I guess it'd be around 1983/4.

Got to dig that out now!
