Had quite a few - 2 Griffs, Mini Cooper, Smart car, R107 SL, Alpina B3, but this is the latest - Maserati Grancabrio MC. Nice sensible four seater. Need to take better pics.
Always fancied one of these since I drove the older hardtop version years ago - made an epic noise and of course now 0.5 litres bigger engine. Are you pleased with it?
Very few cabrios with ‘proper’ 4 seats tick as many boxes as the Grancabrio, in fact, i cant think of one that sounds, drives & looks as good as the Maserati Grancabrio?

The 4200 cabrio i had before our Granturismo did suffer with scuttle shake a fair amount though (gransport spyder was better)

Does the GC suffer much with scuttle shake? our current roadster has absolutely zero but its not a 4 seater..
Noise is indeed incredible particularly on the MC. I've fitted a remote solenoid for the exhaust valves so I can do soft suspension and sports exhaust note together. It's a proper 4 seater although boot is the size of a shoebox and yes it does bend a bit on bumps.
Yes I love it so far - nothing's broken yet though - it's my first italian car! Go big or go home...

2005 got a new job and as you do walked into Porsche Wilmslow and they had this sat in the middle of the showroom. The 987 was due out any day, but the salesman "forgot" to mention that to me. Either way I was buying it. I cant even tell you how much it cost. Seriously. I think the salesman thought Christmas came early that day. Yeah its only a crummy boxster but I was 24 and still had hopes and dreams. Had some really good times in that car.

They are really good cars. Mine was only a poverty spec 2.7 but it was still a lot of fun. I test drove a 987 S about 3 years after getting the 986 and it was like night and day in terms of quality and power. Ended up getting a used 997 2S in the end as it was not much difference in price due to the recession in 2009 used prices were low.

When I retire I will probably buy another Boxster as its just a great all round car.

Thanks! Yes they have aged very well I think.
It has a few blemishes but is in very good shape considering its 20 years old.
