It is pretty quiet though. I still wouldn't even consider one. I can't stand Lexus but I'd much rather have an LS400 if I wanted a quiet, boring and tasteless car.

I think they've shared some aspects since RR has been owned by BMW, which i think was after this model came out anyway, and they've only just announced an engine-sharing deal this year now that there are smaller RRs on sale. At the point that 750iL was new, RR only did the old school 6.75L V8, AFAIK anyway. So, he's basically just come out with some chinese whispers bullst which was probably wrong from the first whisper. We had it very thick for a couple of hours yesterday evening, but it had melted by the time I went to bed.I had enough of it last week skiing and I'm supposed to be going again next month!
That journey is a lot of petrol, but I do enjoy the drive!
I averaged 21.8mpg, which made me quite happy.
