I'm guessing that'll have had a replacement engine. Weren't all the ex police BMW's going through auctions with a hole drilled through the engine block? Mileage not super impressive but mentioned here because I think it's a reasonable price. Also surprised by the high spec. I thought Police cars were really basic.

It is super basic. Its an SE with no nav thats been tarted up with some 520d m sport wheels and a 2nd hand leather interior.Mileage not super impressive but mentioned here because I think it's a reasonable price. Also surprised by the high spec. I thought Police cars were really basic.

I’ve noticed quite often with this seller, they seem to always describe any “unmarked” car as having been an undercover CID car. Like f

Do they expect that, as it’s not a delightful shade of fridge white, the average punter will believe it was careful plodded around in by carefully driving detectives… when in reality it’s been a traffic car that’s bounced off every other uninsured car in the county and been ragged across country at 120+mph.

I bought a new old model S202 C220CDi in 2000 when the new S204 was launched. New, it was reduced to £17,000 and a bargain. Sold in 2013 with 350,000 kms on the clock and the only expenses apart from standard stuff were two new injectors and an aircon pump, so about €3,000. Four years later the car was still running well in the hands of a friend

MOT history is quite interesting - at its first MOT it has a relatively sensible 22,000 miles on it, after that the current seller seems to have hold of it and is whacking on at least 40k a year. I wonder what he was doing with it.

Buying this type of car I believe is somewhat of a bargain due to it being heavily depreciated
