I'm seriously concerned at the size and age of that calculator.

Is it one you crafted yourself from finest timber? hehe

Sounds absolutely fantastic Rejn, can't wait to see it. They really are great cars and the way they devour A roads et al is phenomenal and the overtaking potential is just fab. I was very impressed and I bet JeremyC will remember it fondly smile

I was just running it in for you. wink It's all yours now. hehe

And that torque: should you choose to you'll find you can pull away from low speeds in sixth and keep on accelerating up to highly illegal speeds. I did see 163mph easily in the 1.6 miles of runway at Bruntingthorpe ... driving

Good morning at the C&SC Show yesterday. Seems that there are many cars being dragged out for sale - there were no less than four 512BBs there being flogged.

Some nice metal at the Coys auction. I'll take Rod's old Muira please. cloud9

I also liked the 911 recreation and Range Rover, but not at their estimated prices. yikes

And then in the show another Muira to take home. lick

In other news the Elan was MOTed this week. Interesting to see that the brake tester put it's weight at 682Kg, including the not-so-much-added-lightness tester bloke. cool

As you were ...

Audi use a couple of derivations of the Lambo V10 in the R8.
BMW - ///M S54, S65, S85
Ferrari - Various
Honda - TypeR derivatives of the B16 and K20 (I have a hunch the C32B was knocking on the door)
Lambo - Various
Porsche - Mezger GT3s, 3.8 Carrera S/GTS.
Toyota - 2ZZ

I'm starting to struggle after that. It's a pretty exclusive club.
Caterham (and possibly Lotus) achieved the benchmark with the Rover K series (up to 250bhp from 1800cc). smile

B8 RS4 was 450PS, B7 420PS. smile

That is a great stat!

Just checked mine and I'm surprised it is close, at around 98. GT3 is 115(!) and Cayenne is 80.
thumbup Did you include the Piaggio? wink

Don't think I'll be able to stretch to an R so is anybody (Jeremy/Ben?) able to advise what the benefits of an R are over the two examples above, for example, please?
That Super 7 is almost a K Series R400/Superlight R in everything but name. You miss out on carbon wings and nosecone (and possibly the wheels) but otherwise looks an interesting car.

The Supersport is much further away from an 'R' in specification. Apart from the obvious engine differences (and lack of dry sump) it isn't clear whether it has the widetrack front suspension (I'd have expected them to mention it in the details if it had).

In summary: buy the blue Super 7. thumbup
