From a company that can only offer such cheap rates because they are also involved in credit hire presumably?
Possibly, possibly not. Enterprise didn't used to play in that market until recently (following a takeover) we used to give them a lot of business prior to that (I'm not connected to Aviva before anyone tries to draw a connection btw)
That would be Enterprise Rent A Car you're talking about?
As in Enterprise Rent A Car the World's largest privately owned car rental company? You would've thought a takeover would've made the news, no?

ERAC were a very small player in the Credit Hire market 12 months ago, they made their money out of retail rents, that was when we used them. Now they opertae primarily in the Credit Hire market we ahve stopped using them.
Where on earth do you get this stuff from?

Aviva connection? Acromas connection? They have aggressively entered the Credit Hire market taking business aaway from Drive Assist and Helphire in the past 12 months. TBF I think that's actually a good thing, as Enterprise have got a mixed business model, rather than eclusively Credit Hire.

Looks more like a massive about turn and now you're dumbing down your previous statements.

Ok, I made a mistake, as I said before. Enough?

Maybe I'm not as close to Enterprise as you are. It doesn't affect the other aspects I've posted before though around the impact of Credit Hire.

In my admittedly limited experience:

1st non-fault accident 15 years ago:
paid top book price for a car which was then written off 4 weeks later. Insurance co. left me car-less and after weeks of arguing would only pay out bottom book price leaving me with a £2k shortfall. Spent the next couple of years driving sheds while I paid off a bank loan on a car I didn't own anymore.

2nd non-fault accident last year:
Got accident management company involved. Had a car to drive around in while insurance was settled, got a fair value for my total loss and was paid out quickly with virtually no hassle.

Albany sorted my accident, but it was a clear cut one I was hit from behind when I was stopped at a roundabout.

Help hire. They sent the full service history of my dad's car...

Which they haven't owned since November 2010.
