I was hesitant to post this in the hope it would still be around in a couple of weeks when I might need a beast like this, but I doubt it will be! biggrin

That looks superb - would be a perfect Barge for me up and down the motorway.

If HMRC hadn't taken our VAT payment twice yesterday (10-15 days to refund) I'd be looking at a road trip but as it is I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Cheers,

Phil

biggrin It'll be a few weeks until I need a barge, but a 728i seems just the ticket for the upcoming M1 slogs. I would race you there, but I already have 3 cars and only 1 parking space, adding another today would just be taking the piss! Need to sell one of them first really biggrin

Well no cos I'll be weighing/trading mine in wink

This car was pretty good I thought but needs a service and four new tyres. Bit of rust bubbling on the OSR arch, a few light scratches here and there but commensurate with age. No dents.

E38 18" alloys, eh? I thought the offsets were all wrong but they look OK on it. Of course, 18" alloys were available in E39 fitments too.

ETA: and I agree with Paddy N Murphy so I'd never buy that one anyway. But the manuals do have their own following.

Gentlemen, some advice please from fellow barge owners.

My E38 has regrettably developed a small fuel leak somewhere on the tank. An attempted repair has failed and it is slowly, so very slowy, oozing fuel onto the underside of the tank. The car was bought for 850 and a replacement tank is probably a grand's worth of job or more with the labour. Gutted - I've gotten about 8k entirely trouble free miles out of her in my 5 odd months of ownership but I'm now looking at my options. Where does one 'weigh it in for £350' as it were? I just rang one breaker who offered me 140 for it, er no.

All advice gratefully received!

Yours, gutted of guttedshire hehe
I'd be interested in it if you have any more details?
