RE: Porsche toying with shooting brake Panamera
Discussion
I would have one without hesitation instead of the A6. The Panamera is an absolutely fabulous car to drive, of course it is not a 911 or a Cayman, but it is fit for purpose as a large, powerful family car (with the exception of the lack of a middle seat in the rear which they really should do as an option). Like any car, the looks are down to personal taste - I really like it though.
How many people making the negative comments have spent a worthwhile amount of time driving one?
I also heard that the Panamera is Porsche's current biggest seller, mainly from sales in the US and Far East.

I doubt it will look any better but it can't look any worse. I suspect it will simply rob sales from the big hatchback and they'll drop it.
Not at all. I think Porsche are thinking of making something like a modern day 928 from the Panamera. It would not cost much to develop. I like the Panamera, I didn't at first admittedly, but I certainly don't think they're ugly compared to the offerings from BMW or Audi of late. They're a nice car to be in too, can't say I've driven one but I've been a passenger and thought it was superb. My only complaint is they haven't depreciated as fast as I'd hoped. Shooting brake sounds interesting, always thought the tailgate / hatch spoiled the line a bit.
Slightly O/T but I came across this photo of a Panamera when looking for a new car recently. WTF?!
