It was quite amusing though!

Here it is.
So that went pretty much exactly as planned then?

It may be wrong, but I cant help reading all of Lings posts on a comedy Chinese Geordie accent.
Try it with a Brian Blessed accent...it's even funnier!

Length of posting time is irrelevant, I'm afraid. And you have absolutely no idea how long I've been on under a different login.

You thought you'd do something funny, and got caught out. I didn't report you, and I wouldn't have. But you need to understand that not everyone likes you and your modus operandum, and that you ps off as many people as you charm.

Getting caught is fair enough; you thought it was an obvious joke, and I'm sure I'd have been just as surprised to be reported. But to come on a public forum and demean the person who reported you, state that you know who it is, and generally show zero respect for the ASA by publishing the correspondence....stupid, just stupid. Wait for the next time you're in this situation and see how much slack you get.

Up to you really, but this reinforces my determination to avoid your business. I simply don't find your attitude to the public acceptable - someone reported you for something you shouldn't have done and he's the bad guy? Maybe I'm a bit thick, but I'd have thought that if the ASA ruled against you it's not the person who reported you that's in the wrong.

Not to say that I think the ASA are saints, but the rules are pretty clear, and they have to apply to everyone. You got caught? Man up, don't whinge.

I won't offend everyone by repeating the whole of your post, in this quote.

Which part of the ASA correspondence should I have kept confidential? And why? If I have a case to answer, why should it be done in secret? Behind closed doors? I far prefer openness, so everyone can make up their own mind.

I think you need something to make you smile. Everyone loves cute cats. So here is a cat with a helmet on:

Ling is funny. Mad as a box of frogs but that's what makes life fun! I especially like the fact that you still refer to the complainant as an idiot and I can't really disagree with you hehe

The interest does make you think that there is a lot of money to be made in DeLorean rental though...scratchchin

I think ling is just here to advertise cars and generate publicity. Why is that ok for ling and not other members? Genuine boring question.

Don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a thread on PH.

The Fanny Pads, that Cat.

Ling's style may not be to everyone's taste but thank god for people like her.
Life would be very dull otherwise.
She took a calculated risk with her marketing strategy and it paid off, no-one got hurt, financially or otherwise and we got a good laugh out of it.
It's not like she's taken anyone's money for a nonexistent DeLorean is it?

Crack on Ling, I would never lease a car in any event but if I was in the market I'd give you a call

Fanny pads biggrin

There are plenty of examples of people who post on the topic which they make their business. Sometimes they post genuinely useful info, sometimes not. As long as they abide by the rules (don't call yourself by your business name, don't post links to your business) we're happy. Yes, Ling has posted links to her site in this thread, but only in the context of a story which has been in the news these past 24 hours and which PH has played a bit part.

More power to her, I say. Life is made interesting by interesting people.

So funny the way she courts publicity from the ASA and then backtracks.

Ling just goes to prove that literally anyone can run a profitable business.
