The car security ideas thread

As said by others the security needs to be physical not electronic
Not really. Where Audi and BMW have fked up was having an ECU program that leaves the OBDII port active all the time. (They probably bought from the same software company). All that is required is for the software to not read the port whenever the car is locked or alarmed. It will still comply with the EU requirements for reprogramming because it becomes active when the car is unlocked.
They will lie through their back teeth to avoid having to recall all those cars and replace the ECU for 1000 euro a time.
Thieves will of course revert to breaking into your house, car-jacking or personal assault to get the keys.
Back to the pin pad,
what about two pin numbers? one that starts the car fine and dandy, the other starts the car but silently activates a tracker, locks the doors and windows, cuts engine power etc
So if you are threatened for the pin, you tell them the other (same pin but backwards?) and they think they got it, leave you alone and get caught within 30mins!
I heard a rumour that entering you pin number backwards at a cash point works fine but alerts the 5-0??
