I think it'd look much better in the garage with the door shut.

Going on the other thread, especially the suspension pics - well, I'd not trust it at all. It's not pretty either, but a body - if the frame is an Ultima (which would surprise me if it has the identity of another car) - could be dropped on. That said, it runs like crap; no way that's right at all.

It's a shame when someone genuinely puts work and money in to something, and perhaps with rose tinted glasses, sees a masterpiece, but that isn't one in my eyes.

I agree. It's been built from scratch on a relatively tight budget, and he has 'Youtube' videos of the car. It's s shame but I think anybody buying it for £7K will break it straight away for parts. If that bid is even genuine, and not a mate or family member bidding.
It's horrible, and I really don't know why he didn't just re-body and re-engine an MR2 Turbo. It would have looked a million times better, and it would have worked better.
Credit to him for saving and working to build his dream, but the end result isn't good.

Wow. Ermm. I hope this guy has a day job.

That said, if the worst thing that happens in the world today is someone buying it then it's been a great day.

Yeah, and the heater switch;

"Genuine Zonda heating controls which power the fan"

Yep, he nailed that bit. Both he, and Zonda, use the digital climate control panel from a Rover 25.

This Zonda creation reminds me of this:

Surely the most deluded attempt ever to get a kit car through a VOSA inspection!

Is it the same owner? May be he gave up on the black 'thing' above and decided to create a Zonda instead.

Tough call as to which one corners better and would be safer to be inside during a crash.

That's made my day! Didn't think it would be possible to laugh so much at a car, it looks like a knackered submarine!

Saw that black monstrosity on BB way back when the thread first came about. Still the most stunningly shonky 'home brew' effort Ive ever seen, made worse by the fact it's looking for an IVA. How does a reasonable human being being that to an IVA inspectors' without dying from embarrassment?

I suppose you could argue that at least it's not trying to be a supercar. There's another level of tragedy reserved for supercar 'replicas'.

That said, there are some borderline acceptable Lamborghini/ Ferrari replicas, at least up until the point someone asks the question and you have to explain 'its not actually a...'. I sometimes wonder if I could live with myself if I bought one of those Lambo replicas that actually has a good chassis and engine, some Murci replicas in particular can look 90-odd% of the real thing.

Then I put down the bottle and start looking at 911s again.

As for the 'Zonda', it makes me wonder what image the fella had in his head when he was conceiving/ starting to build it. Presumably he thought it would be fairly convincing. Imagine being the friend/ colleague who has heard all about the Zonda replica he's got in the garage, then popping round for the unveil and trying to stifle your laugh out of politeness...
