Just because I want to doesnt mean I would. Simple stuff, really.
You need to try and quash those feelings, and certainly don't post them here. Thanks.

As far as you're concerned I've always been here; I'm also a balanced, decent human being.

Nicely played lefty84. Let's assume that his post and her article are the same thing, i.e opinions. Yet only his posts outrages you.
I think you missed my post at the top of the previous page and previous wink

But why lefty. If anything it should be righty?

I feel I was a little bit rash with my early criticism of this article, and would now like to say a big thank you to Ms Stewart. She has probably done more in a few short paragraphs to demonstrate the lunacy of the anti-car brigade than the whole of the Pistonheads community could with a year's postings

It does depend what the rest of the article says. There are some posters here that could open an ironic thread with that style

Did she go on to say thats the way these people think or did she condone it?
She's posted it as her personal opinion. It doesn't seem to be cleverly ironic in any sort of way.

As someone else has pointed out to her on Twitter, it's especially ironic that a few months ago she complained on Twitter that some girl reversed into her car on a car park and damaged it. She got angry with the girl as well and confronted her about it. No Mumsnet hugs and flowers, no dismissing it as only being a car and not mattering. Someone accidentally damaging her car is a terrible thing to happen to her.

Strewth. She's also clearly one of those loons who get all flustered and annoyed if you dare to overtake, like the roads are a massive queuing system and you've pushed in. I think we all know overtakes mean the car behind will catch up at the next junction. But what fun it can be; a bit of a rush.
She sees driving as a chore, not an exciting way to spend time and can't understand anyone wasting money on it.

Fired off a complaint - not because I was particularly offended or enraged - the woman clearly has some issues and in reality has about as much impact as a wet teabag thrown at a wall would - but the idea that this nonsense is being published shouldn't really go unchecked.

I know the old "if you don't like it, then don't read it" adage probably applies here - but I am sure that an article about driving "swanky" cars quickly would garner some complaints from the speed kills lot, so just trying to balance things out a bit.

If my car gets keyed this week/month/century can I claim off the paper as they told people to do it?

They keep deleting posts on the facebook page.

i added this one today!

And i see you've deleted all of yesterdays complaints posts regarding your reporters and therefore your papers stance supporting vandalism of cars. I wish to express my support for vandalism of newspaper offices because why have a big swanky office when a shipping container would do.

if anyone else would like to post here is the page

The Herald editor Magnus Llewellin is on twitter banging on about free speech, meanwhile they have removed all the comments from the article and their facebook page.

Double standards much?

Seems like someone has set up a fake fb page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1000101049... presumably hoping to re-direct the abuse.
