Miura bhp/ton 44% higher... it may lack traction in a straight line compared to the NSX, hence it being a whisker slower to 62mph and over the quarter-mile, but take it to Spa or Monza and I think the NSX would be left behind by the granddaddy of all supercars...
I seriously think the other way around, by far.
Guessing you've not driven an NSX? Obviously I've not driven a Miura but I can't imagine 70s Italian suspension and handling will beat Honda's handling and chassis design at its peak in the 90s. Think what you will, but look up Best Motoring where the lowly 280HP NSX-R plays against "real HP supercars"
Agree to disagree?

Here's a standard NSX vs a Testarossa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcVrkogTOAs

Also fwiw, I believe different manufacturer's horses mean different things... Honda / Porsche horses are faster than eg GM / BMW horses.

No, I haven't driven either. The NSX's handling would be more of an advantage on a tight, twisty road or track. I mentioned Spa and Monza specifically for their long straights, where the Miura's power would count.

The Miura is hardly a car to race with / in. The Countach is a pig as well. I bet an NSX would smack any pre QV Countach Lambo at tracks, and even at Spa. The brakes!
It would be interesting to see the 355 battle the NSX. I think the 355 would be more of a handfull and the NSX will loose with only a slight difference. Interesting as this comes up at the forums every now and then.

I guess Jay Leno would know.

OK. For a moment I thought you were providing some actual and valuable insight. But it seems you know how cars drive simply from their Top Trumps data.

I need to take more people out in the NSX. Are 0 to 60 times still being used really?!

Think the NSX was the Type R, but still an impressive showing against the Diablo

http://www.nsxprime.com/car-dec-96/

Honda NSX 1:32.12 - 4º
Toyota Supra 1:32.84 - 9º
Porsche 911 1:33.16 - 13º
Lamborghini Diablo SV 1:33.18 - 8º

As for 355 vs NSX - Autocar have the 2002 NSX on a par with 355 in a straight line, but I have a suspicion that the NSX press car was a particularly optimised example.

It wasn't me who brought the Miura up to start with, I was just pointing out that it's lighter and substantially more powerful than the NSX.

It is. Power comes alive at 4000 revs and chassis isn't designed for racing. It would be my bet in a dogfight a Miura does not have a change against an NSX.
