It may be my age but performance JDM stuff from 95-05 is the pinnacle in my eyes.
There's a 1JZ powered Silvia on ebay that I'd love to take back to standard aero looking.
Only problem is its being sold in Keighley.
As I'm sure you already know, if it's in Keighley run far far away. It will have been crashed/clocked/have a dangerous fault or any combination of the above. There's a 1JZ powered Silvia on ebay that I'd love to take back to standard aero looking.

What about the SARD MC8-R
Take a MR2 stretch it and drop in a V8

Anyway, I always thought these would be a hoot. Nissan March Super Turbo. FIA homologated, supercharged and turbocharged, 110hp, LSD, ~800kg wet
Nice writeup on Jalopnik. Bonus! Includes Bluebird SSS-R
I adore all these mad JDM things, I've got a R33 Skyline which is positively mainstream compared to the ones in this thread. The Stagea at the start of this thread has the engine from the V35 (Infiniti G35 in the USA) and having been ferried about in one they are really comfortable.
If I won the lottery I'd have a warehouse full of this sort of stuff

Its _all_ about the maaad choo choo noises!
In no small part it's the MCM boys who got me interested in the JDM scene, Turbos and Temples as well as Kei to the City (ugh - sorry for the sentimental stuff that follows) genuinely helped get me out of a big old funk. Reminded me that I needed to indulge my passions and to redress the work-life balance. Then I saw the first few seasons and it reminded me of hanging out with a few specific friends hitting the spanners, and how Marty and Moog were practically facsimiles of a friend and I.
The good times are rolling again now.
I've only recently started following MCM and I was just prompted to watch Kei to the City thanks to this post. What a production, I had no real idea about the culture there that surrounds modifying cars. It was so awesome just to see people having fun and not taking themselves seriously at all. "Because it's funny" is a great reason to do things. MCM are fantastic, brilliant entertaining and down to earth guys. They have a second channell MCMTV2
you should watch the double unicorn build of a Stagea with a Boosted Nissan V8 out of a 4wd Cedric. Yes it is as bonkers as it sounds!
Some of the cars posted make my JDM ride look pretty mundane:

Good stuff, glad you enjoyed it. It's a whole different world. My kind of car culture, completely inclusive, whether you're into drift, boso, vip, stance whatever - it's all good! Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
