Ive got an issue with the price point.....130k is a lot for a range rover when you consider that the quality isnt the best.
I see it as an overpriced range rover rather than a bargain Bentayga.
Even for an SUV, that Bentley is a ridiculous car. I've seen a few around here and nothing about it looks right. At least the FFRR and D5 look good and even the RRS has pulled it out of the bag compared to the L320 it replaced. The Bentayga (what sort of idiotic name is that?) is just a cartoon car. I see it as an overpriced range rover rather than a bargain Bentayga.
£130k is a lot for what is a boggo range rover with a bit of superficial tweaking. It is what it is and I bet it still has a flimsy feel like any other range rover.

Bentleys of old were the sort of car for discreet wafting, this monstrosity is for Arabs and footballers. As for being formidable, it certainly has a lot of power, but I can't see the UN beating a path to Crewe looking to trade in their Nissan Patrols and Landcruisers.
Bentley as a brand were always big, fast, ostentatious vehicles for new money. Hence why Rolls owners who saw themselves as landed gentry looked down on the brash oiks who were industrialists or in trade that drove Bentleys. I think the Bentayga is the most 'Bentley' car the brand has produced for years. DonkeyApple said:

If your idea of a proper Bentley is a reskinned Q7 that is now also available with a V8 Diesel from the same brand you are probably right. You will also like the other "proper" Bentley, the one that started life as a VW Phaeton.
I think those two models are the real essence of Bentley, a paragon of understated elegance. How very British.

That's all they've been in my lifetime of 44 years. My grandfather had one in the 20s and he was deemed 'new money' by the other side of the family. The Bentayga is definitely the most 'Bentley' car they've made in my lifetime. It's a glorious, performance truck of a car for new money. A true Bentley.
But by god it's UGLY!!!! Granfondo said:
