If they do the usual Ford trick of releasing one-colour editions (Racing Puma, Focus RS both in that lovely blue), then is this green going to be the RS's colour? I may sound boring, but it's a bit too garish for me!
Imperial (or Ford Racing) blue, or white would have been a much nicer choice!!!
Except they never kept the blue on the RS limited Imperial (or Ford Racing) blue, or white would have been a much nicer choice!!!
Ford Racing Blue and Imperial Blue are one and the same
(Well, according to my paint codes)

That was my first thought too....Sorry to all those enthusing about it but to my eyes it's a bit too much 'Halfrauds Special'.
I know Podie will probably defend the car to the death, but Im sorry I can see nothing appealing about this car at all
I have to say 300bhp sounds a a lot for fwd. 1st torque steer, which fomoco may or may not have sorted, then actually applying that 300bhp without traction control reducing it to 75 and being very intrusive.
IT will hit acelleration hard, particularly at lower speeds. In less than perfect grippy conditions a nun on a bicycle will probably outdrag it to 20mph.
Not having 4wd is going to tuen something that could be special into something that lives in the shadow of scooby and evo (and even vw)

Why would I? I have no vested interest in whether it's a success or not.The aesthetics are purely subjective - I have no issue with people giving their opinion on that. For the record, it's a bit loud for my tastes, and I'm not a fan of the green - even if it is a nod to the WRC BP sponsorship.
What really hacks me off are people who will sit at their keyboard spouting that the car will be rubbish because it's FWD. None of these people have driven it, yet are happy to talk about how bad it is as fact.

Well, I am going to stick my head up into the firing line and say I don't like it. I mean I do and all that, but I would never admit it. In the same way that I would probably give Jordan one, but would never say that out loud.
Looks like an ST that has been given the Max Power treatment at Halfords.
One of the reasons I am a fan of the Golf GTI, Golf R32, BMW M5, etc. is that they do have an element of subtlety. I can say right now that it would not matter how much I liked it, I will never own one - the wife would not want to be seen getting out of it.
I am sure it's a great car (I am a fan of the Focus in general, having had a few over the years), but it looks too much like it was designed to appeal to the Burberry Generation.
FIRE AWAY!!!!!

That doesn't read right to me.Mattt said:

...to you. There's nothing wrong with being bold once in a while and I love the rally-stage-refugee look. It worked for the Delta Integrale and looking at the pics, it works for this too.
There's nothing to say that this is going to be a limited run of RS's, so i reckon the value of these will drop considerably, especially if they only do the ghastly green colour.
RS should be special and this looks like the ST with even more Halfrauds jewellery on it.
Ford didn't do it any favours making it FWD with 300hp and bringing it out in green has made it worse.....and for just under 25k???!
