Nice back-pedal. It's not very convincing though.

A top end luxury car that could potentially cost more than your mortgage to run and fix if it goes wrong sold by 'them' with no SH.
Berth. Wide. Massive.

Oh dear. There goes the thread.

If you want to see offence, you always will. Try looking beyond what you want to see; the truth may just be otherwise.

So you're saying that Trading Standards aren't chasing them because they're a small business and that would hamper free-trade?

... that being the excuse I was given last time I complained to my local Trading Standards department about being sold items which were out-of-date.

Yes, I was surprised too. Not to mention disappointed.

Mech, your tone really is slightly accusatory. I get the distinct impression that Keighley Trade Centre is run by either blacks or asians, that I should know this and that I am being tactly accused of making prejudiced comments. Is this the case?

Care to expand, because it seems a little unclear.

That's how your comments come across. When someone mentions not upsetting the "PC applecart" that generally refers to minorities rather than small businesses.

Is that a question? You're not from Keighly are you?

indeed- as a small business owner i can't say i ever felt that anyone in the goverment turned a blind eye- quiote the opposite in fact- its much easier to pick on small businessman who only employ a few people than SMEs and larger that employ 100s- the latter have the resources to get quite litigous.

frankly zgacogp your post was pretty clear and totally uncalled for (i know as many dodgy caucasian traders as asian ones)- to claim you meant something different is frankly bks.

having said all that i will at least remember the name "keighley"

Fair cop. If I have caused offence in this manner unintentionally then I apologise. No offence was meant.

What I would also say, in the politist possible terms, is that you were damnably quick to reach for the R card when it was un-necessary mechsympathy. I'll not go as far as to say that your attitude stinks, but I'll certainly say it's not good. If you ever met me you'd realise that I am rather more likely to be a victim of racism than a perpetrator of it (let's say I am not of UK-origin, one of the many things that internet forums conveniently - or inconveniently - hide), and yet I seem to have been accused of racism against people who, to date, are of unknown ethnic origin (we still haven't established whether this purveyor of very dodgy motors is anything other than white, although given the fuss that has blown up I am guessing that they are not.)

As I said before, if you want to find offence then you will. Look harder, as the truth may yet be found. And please try and avoid causing offence when you claim it yourself. wink

Edited to add a smiley to try and soften the message.

Had a K reg escort cosworth for sale. Hpi came back as a rs2000....

Think that should say everything that needs to be said.

I don't mind meaning offence. Avoid KTC like you would Lisa Riley looking for sex and you're about right. They are, in the words of Jesus Christ, "as dodgy as f*ck".

The cars are probably marked, be it S59'd by bib or by scrotes who've been ripped off while buying or selling drugs.

The NA52 car is a Newcastle registration, might be worth contacting some of the MB dealers up there to find out if they have any knowledge of the car, yet to all intents and purposes if KTC are reading this thread - they now do have a copy of the service history for the car, as some kind soul has posted it up - thus legitimising the advert.

Next time anyone is down that way, take a quick wander around the back, have a quick look, then look back on their site in about 2 months time, I'm sure you will see something that didn't look like that before hand.

That being said a friend of mine bought a legnum from them, had it for a month with no issues whatsoever, then some scum nicked it.

No, it's the other way around. The W to 52 plate cars were NA, then came the bi-turbo.

You can tell at a glance if it's bi-turbo because the tail lights are different (assuming they've not been retrofitted) as they've got about 5 white horizontal lines in them, vs 2 larger white lines.

Facelift/BiTurbo

Old/NA

That OBC readout, is that a list of everything that's ever gone wrong, or a list of outstanding errors ? If it's the former, then TADTS
