I don't think I sound as whiny or 'northern' (in my own head anyway). She was crossing to get to the bus stop. I almost did walk over and ask what the hell she was doing but I didn't want accusing of starting arguments with frail old ladies (and she might have hit me with her walking stick).

I could almost understand it if she was in imminent danger of missing the bus, but the one that was coming down was out of service anyway!

The wonderful song is from some random mash-up album, down with the kids and all that.

I actually felt bad for scaring her and luckily I was covering the brakes as I could see her loitering near the edge of the payment, but I didn't honestly expect her to just walk out!

All it takes is someone jumping out like this and some dozy driver and you have a dead granny. Well done for being alert! Just really annoys me that so many people value their own life so little that they step out onto a road without looking.

I can't believe there isn't a ramp as a back up. I would hate raising and lower that thing just to get my cars out all the time, and if it breaks you're stuffed!

Roadkill Episode 23. Honestly I love this show more than Top Gear these days. Old American muscle cars, doing engine swaps, road trips... the show is just brilliant fun, and the two presenters have a great rapport. This is the most recent episode - getting an old Dodge Charger shell on the road with the V8 from a motor home. 40 minutes of just.. great fun.
