What if you come off second best and you're killed? Leaving your kids/wife alone.

All over a car that's insured? Leave the keys downstairs IMHO.
As I said, they're welcome to kill themselves in my cars, the keys are kept downstairs, but if they came to attack my family that's when I'd attack them. The only car of the 3 I'd even care about losing would be my 22B, other than that they'd be saving me the excess mileage charges on the RR and Benz.

Because my storage area of choice for my clubs is under my bed away from my suites; I keep my 4 high school cricket bats in their cases under my bed too? I feel such empathy for people with storage. My wife likes to keep stuff in her handbags, sickening isn't it?

Just as a side issue how do you manage 330 posts in a month. You must be a retired powerfully built company director with a lot of time on your hands

I have a lot of time between clients; most weeks I work 3-4 days anyway. Since we're focusing on closing UK relations for 5 years until we move the firm to the US I don't have anywhere near as much work as I did 2 years ago.

I'd die for my family if they were attacked but not if they were downstairs, grabbed the keys and off again. Let them kill themselves in my cars, I lose my NCB but get 3 new cars, they get a wheelchair or a funeral.
So you fancy your chances against 3 / 4 nutters with crowbars and knifes?
I like the idea that his cars are so powerful that nobody but him could possibly drive them without killing themselves. Unless they have some kind of remote control electric chair device fitted I reckon the deadliness of them is being somewhat overstated.

In my defense Mr Miyagi did teach me wink But if some hopped up 19 year old yobbo was to attempt to go from Corsa to V12 then I don't really see how he expects to survive.

My wife's RR is out on the drive with both my cars garaged away. If they break in they're welcome to a high mileage SUV used for the school run and Yoga by my wife, or my insanely high mileage Benz with swirl marks or even my Scooby that I adore

but the moment they try to attack my family is the moment I'm willing to go to prison and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
A) You wouldn't bother protecting your cars.
B) You would protect your family
C) Some people cannot read.
D) Defending your family (when no cars are involved) is not considered normal.

A few years ago someone tried to steal my old Audi, luckily the neighbour spotted them trying to open the gate and shouted me out of the house, the little maggot ran off. I always do worry if someone breaks in, because unlike America, if we attack them then WE go to prison. Some little st 19 year old would hopefully kill himself in a V8 RR, V12 Benz or Scooby. I despise thieves.
I don't understand why you're getting lambasted... everything you've said seems to be pretty reasonable. I guess some people either can't read or enjoy arguing on the internet (as opposed to real life)

If only people were as strong hearted IRL as they were on a computer then maybe thieves would be too scared to break into houses

Not too sure what you're breaking my balls about? Did the fact I quite enjoy my family offend you somehow? I do hope I'm not the cause of you becoming triggered on the Internet.

My Audi got stolen last monday at 2pm in my office car park. I have CCTV footage of the incident and basically a car drives into the car park; park next to mine and two stocky guys in tracksuits smash the drivers side window then spend 40 minutes trying to start it. This was in broad daylight; they then change the numberplates and drive off
To my surprise my car got found last Saturday with a sledgehammer in the boot. I still have not seen the car but I was wondering how the hell do I prevent it being stolen again?

See that's where your misplaced belief in your own ability can cause issues. Everyone with an ounce of stair domination in them (or who's read a Jack Reacher or two) knows that bats and clubs require a sizeable backward swing which is both time consuming and difficult in a stair way domination off.

I keep an iron poker on a red hot fire under the bed at all times to aid my domination. That or I hope that my large bowl of marbles will do the trick.

A Disklok would've taken them even longer to get round, or put them off altogether.

But the best solution would be to have some proper monitoring on your office car park - 40+ mins and no-one noticed!

I had a really basic ignition cutoff wired to a blank dash switch on a previous hot hatch I had back in the day. Stopped it getting stolen once, they smashed the steering column etc but couldn't start it even with the key. Very effective.

So long as you place the switch discretely, they wont be looking for it.

They'll get down the road and it'll suddenly cut out in a very loud and visible way.
