What happened at circa 30 seconds causing the Clio/motorcycle thingy? I can't make it out with these we eyes and this wee screen?
Looks like a panicked standing on the brakes and the fronts locked up. Either that or a blowout, but would've thought you'd see a lot more rubber flying everywhere if it had delaminated or blown out.
If you look closely, as these cars are joining the main carriageway there is already a car in the inside lane.

As the accident unfolds, you can see a bike directly infront of the Clio swerve to the left. I deduce that it is avoiding a car infront of it who's braked sharply because he can't join the main carriageway because L1 is occupied.

So, the Clio also hits the brakes to avoid this car and swerves, losing control.
So they were probably all far too close to each other Within the camera car's lane? I could see the traffic to the "right" but couldn't make out if the Clio had started his spin and then collected one of the bikers who'd been innocently riding along the lane on the extreme left.

Plenty of shocking driving in the remainder of the video, mind. As is usual.

He certainly makes an idiot of himself! Bring it on!
Can anyone tell me why he is SO stressed and cross? He's got to be heading for a heart attack or similar.
Maybe he never makes a mistake-it's just everyone else.
Maybe he should call himself Nobody.

It looks like he drives roads not too far away from me, so I checked his videos to see if I made an appearance anywhere.

I didn't.

Must try harder.... hehe

Well spotted, looks about right to me!
Looks like a failed compensator, or dodgy rear shoe adjustment to me, as to my eyes it looks as though the rears just lock up!

The lane carries on. There is no merge. The lane is empty in front of the bike that swerves left a bit. I think the bike slows wondering where his mates are and considering crossing the hatching, the BMW catches it and lifts off, the Clio doesn't realise the BMW is slowing (looking at bikes/trikes possibly) until late and stomps on the brakes and saws at the wheel causing oversteer and the rest is history.

I reckon so. Also, that lorry that rams straight into stationary traffic. Wouldn't be surprised to hear of some serious injuries or death relating to that one.
Wasn't he recently sentenced to two years inside ?

Ah, yes. 30 months for death by dangerous driving.

Ha! Excellent detective work!

I used to work for Renault and I only once saw one that bad myself. Driving it into the workshop with wet tyres I nearly spun it turning 90° left into my bay. It felt exactly like putting the handbrake on full!

Why do people take the time to upload st like that. I have sympathy for the person driving in the correct lane and providing decent signals that they ended up on YouTube because some twonk attempted an overtake but forgot which pedal is the go faster one so just ended up hogging the middle lane while sitting in the blind spot of a car in the driving lane.

I'd sin bin the dashcam warrior's driving licence for a week for this transgression if I was in charge!

That is plain crazy! I wonder how many rounds actually hit the car and how many flew off into the houses/gardens.

I doubt he's getting all that wet. I once picked up 4 alloy wheels off ebay in an MX5 which involved a 2 hour drive home in the rain with the roof down to fit them all in. No problem on the motorway at all, the rain only hits you when you go below 30 or 40 iirc.

Of course he might have got home to find it looked like this though:

That is just bonkers policing, firstly due to the risk to members of the public of shooting wildly from a moving motorbike and secondly for the US-style policy of apparently being able to doll out a summary execution for the crime of evading arrest.

Well, it IS South Africa after all - the country where you shoot your gun to amuse yourself while at a restaurant, or when you find someone in the toilet...

I'd love to catch some of his own driving on my dash cam! evil

No need for any amateur sleuthing, he's posted his picture and his car on his videos. So tempted to re-produce it here with a suitable caption coming out of his mouth ...
