You do know the log book is the property of the DVLA and by selling it you are committing theft?

eBay are as aware they are breaking the law as you are. Basically they are acting as a fence.

While it's making money for them they aren't going to put a stop to it.

Because you are not selling a document on its own even though that isn't yours to sell in the first place. You are including the VIN plates so you are selling Ringing Kits.

You know exactly what you are selling, who is likely to buy and why. As far as I am concerned you are as guilty as the thieving scum who have either taken a car already or will steal one to order after they buy your Ringing Kit.

I have passed your other listing on the the RS Owners Club and details including screen grabs have been passed on to the Police should you decide to remove or try to delete these illegal listings.

I emailed eBay about this as it is a complete ringing kit including laser etched windows. Still hasn't been removed. rolleyes

Here's a good clean example of a four door, right hand drive, Mk2, Escort 1.3L originally registered in Huddersfield.

Remember...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282572104314

...it's the chassis number not the body number that is retained.

This is a radically altered chassis, series body and registered as an Austin so place your bets how legitimate any of the parts are.

For £30,000 it's not worth the risk of having it seized and destroyed.

Ringing kits are new to me, but I found out about them when browsing Ebay and finding this:

I assume this counts as a kit?
A blatant bloody one. Good find and welcome to the good fight. smile

Why do we do what we do?

Because scum like this...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/classic-morris-mini-min...

...make it easy for criminals to get away with it.

This too:

Doesn't look like an XR2 to me!
Me neither. hehe

I could be a title error and should say...

"Mk2 Ford Fiesta shell. Potential XR2 donor".

...or similar. I have asked what the log book says. If it's an XR2 log book and that's how they bought it they have been ripped off.

There are so many on Ebay it is unbelievable.
I've sent another email to eBay about it today.

eBay are in effect aiding and abetting the theft of motor vehicles and refuse steadfast to do anything about it.

It's not just a car. It's a member of someones family that's being taken.

Aided and abetted by eBay.

As Justin suggested the build pre-dates the system upgrades and updates. So even though it looks like a Sylvia Striker (???) it was built before the points scheme.

Well worth looking out for as there are several new build kit cars running on old Dutton and other identities because whoever built it could not be arsed to pay the £300 test for radically altered vehicles. It makes you wonder if that corner has been cut how many other have been so if you ever come across a kit car like that it's best to walk away from it.

The first thing I did when I saw this...

...on a stolen vehicle page on Facebook is...

Logged on to eBay.
Put "Ford RS log book" in the search bar.
Reported ten illegal listings.

...then I shared it with the RS Owners club and others.
