Hi, does anybody have a idea the time the foreign cars from the middle east start leaving London?
Also I need a cheap camera about 14MP , where can I get a good one from?
Many Thanks
Michael
For a compact, the Nikon CoolPix S2600 gets pretty good reviews and is cheap at £70 from Argos:Also I need a cheap camera about 14MP , where can I get a good one from?

And from what I found, the best time to catch the Arabs is after 5pm around Kensington.

Michael, Many thanks

Try asking in the photography forum, you'll get a much better response than on a spotted thread. There's lots of similar subject there too, so worth reading around. Lets try and keep this thread on subject.
Spotted on late night in London last month, on the side of the A4 in Knightsbridge out bound just after the Hyde Park underpass, surrounded by around 3 Motorcycle Cops, Blue lights flashing a Lambo and I think it was a Ferrari, possibly after doing a roar through the tunnel! Passed too quick to take it all in. Drivers out of cars "talking" with the officers.

Not my picture, but spotted of a friend of mine who's in London.
Apparently originally from Denmark: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/05/spotted-porsc...
Thats not just an ordinary 928 its the last of the line most expensive GTS versions (or at least its badged as a GTS).Apparently originally from Denmark: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/05/spotted-porsc...
Looks as though its a very professionally done job.
Looking at it i wonder whether it was done to take race winners around the track after they'd won? Only thing missing would be something to hold onto.
Wouldn't suprise me if someone on PH comes forward with the full story...............and pics of it being converted...............anyone?
I could be completely wrong though.
Danish laws state that commercial vehicles have to pay a much reduced tax on registration (yellow plate cars), while vehicles for personal use (white plate cars) have to pay the entire amount (the more expensive a car is, the higher the taxation, basically). A completely basic Golf GTI is £49,000. Want sat-nav? £3,800.
Due to this, a lot of people registered their cars as commercial vehicles (ripping out the back seats, installing a flat cargo bay, etc. and got away with paying less - some resorted to converting cars to pick-ups in order to get them cheaper - hence this Porsche. It was a very normal practise with Mercedes E-classes in the late 80's-90's.
Coincidentally, I see this car quite often, it lives a few kilometres away from here.
The practice of converting sports cars are no longer possible - the law war revised in the 90's, but I remember the 928 from when I was younger; it was featured in the news
