What car - for the end of the world?
Discussion
Probably my defender 90 v8 and a trailer, although a 110 would be better, I'd probably try to ferment stuff and convert to run on alcohol if the fuel got sparse (so perhaps a spare 110 v8 that I'd convert ready for that), I'd carry a hand pump and an electric one (which I'd convert to power up from a hand wound torch) to pump out fuel from abandoned cars. A 200tdi which has a heater in the tank and runs on SVO would be good because you could probably get your hands on plenty of veg oil but I'd be inclined to use that for cooking (with a glass of my own alcohol). First port of call for the landy would be a dealership where I'd stock up on everything like ignition parts (plugs, leads, dissy caps and rotor arms) distributor, filters, relays, starters, alternators, wiper motors, and anything else I could carry to make it future proof, any range rovers I see are getting cannibalized for their engines - bks to keeping the thing mot worthy I'd just want it running for ever. I'd fill the back and the roof cage with spare wheels and tyres too, as there'd be no chance of anyone making any more combined with a higher likelihood of getting punctures.
Not that I've given it much thought, like.

One of those old WW2 American Deuce-and-a-half transports. If i remember correctly they ran on anything remotley resembling petrol/diesel/avation fuel etc.
Good shout there. The more time I spend on PH tonight, the more I worry that PH is turning me into a paranoid nutjob...
... and that's just the bad parking thread, let alone this one.
