The link the article says that it's only going to be XDrive.
I stand corrected. Was just reading through this article, as I find it quite amusing that a press release starts with a boxed sausage.
Don't really keep up with BMW anymore, have enough of it since owning my last 525d.

Perhaps Chris also has his Drive channel hat on and is covering this for a number of potential outlets, some of which might have access to buy the car in question?
Regardless of this surely as motoring (and sausage) enthusiasts this sort of tri-turbo torque is of interest?
We will be getting the engine though....in the X5 and X6. So from that perspective it is relevant. I think it's speculated that Porsche are going to be going tri-turbo too in the next 911 turbo so tri-turbo's are definitely on the agenda elsewhere. It's supposed to be more M than a normal Sport in chassis terms so will be interesting to see how M it is.

So whats the deal with the M135i? Is this a marketing exercise? we already had a 135i with 300+ bhp engine? I presume the USP is that it's available in the new hatchback platform? I actually prefer the style of the coupe new hatch is ugly imho
Is BMW just going to add 'M' in front of every powerfulish car from now on? Are 'M' actually involved?0a said:

Relates to http://www.pistonheads.com/news/25038.htm I believe.normal model + M-Sport (badges only)
M + normal model (badges plus errr stuff)
M + single digit (the actual M cars)
?
brand dilution I'd say
