five grand in your pocket and it goes round corners.. not 0.60 4sec straight to the scene of the accident....
You do know ACR Viper holds the production car ring record, right????

You do know the ring has quite a lot of bends on it right?

And you can tell which end of a Viper is the front as it dosent look like a turd from both ends wink

However, we are not talking about the ACR here are we. The comparison was between a S/H Gen1 Viper and the current Cayman. And that is swung very much in favour of the german corner.........

I think it's just a question of preference. The Cayman is undoubtedly a more capable car, but it's also rather dull.

ahh yes the 456, the ugliest Ferrari ever made, and as a result the cheapest modern(ish) Ferrari you can buy.
Seriously? In a world that gave us the 308GT4, F512M and the hollywood-facelift-gone-wrong FF?

As for the original thread question....

The cayman is a lovely car and I'd be proud to have one but if a choice has to be made I wouldn't bat an eye at having a disposable SOTW as a daily and this:

Agreed, a ride / drive in a Viper would be an event, for me, no Cayman would ever be on the same level.

Now apologies to the owner if he's on here but I've never been a fan of this one.

Think it looks terribly tacky and nowhere near as good as the racing car it's supposed to be aping. Especially the splitter on the front looks awful.

He's got a Viper and I've got a Corsa though, so I guess I should pipe down.
I believe that one belongs to fatboy18 although I could be wrong.... I often see it at the GBW St. Saturnin

You've proved yet again you do not know what you are talking about. This thread is not talking about a gen 1 viper but a gen 2.
Why would it swing in favour of a dull boring slow soulless German car?
Blah blah blah

Viper= awesome. Anyone driving one of these in the UK is a cool muthafker. biggrin

Only 300bhp/tonne compares a 3.0Litre V6 NSX with a Dodge Viper.

If we all liked the same thing, life would be so boring.

I love my 20 year old Viper, it brings a huge smile to my face and is always noticed where ever I go.

But you may not like it, preferring something else, good for you.

If it makes you smile and you have fun with your car, that, at least for me is what its all about

Why don`t people check their facts before posting?

The 2001 Viper was Gen 2. Also the ACR was produced in 2001. I should know I have one.

Not wanting to get bogged down in semantics (again) but i was using "gen" to mean the major re-chassis/re-engine events in the vipers history. The RT/SR platform being the first, the ZB (SRT-10) being the second.

So what connections do you have to vipers? I engineered the Car for GM, what did you do?
