I have one of these for work mileage (lots of it):

Hate it with a passion, its everything i would have never bought in the UK, like an Ozzy Mondeo hurl

Hit a roo in the stupid thing today too, so now its shcensored and dented....

If least PH car means most popular on the road and least interesting, this is it.

By least "PH", something totally devoid of character or interest i.e.
Golf GTI, or any Golf really.

You need to find something that's either utterly soul-crushing to drive, or something so tasteless that nobody with an ounce of appreciation for motoring would buy.
Ok - Suzuki X-90, anybody?smile
What's un-PH about these? RWD/4WD, light weight, 2 seater. With Vitara underpinnings but smaller and lighter.

That I can't stand being in those is what led me to get one of these as a family wagon instead...

Agreed...

...and, yes.

That I now have a V70 and wish for a Commodore says it all really - though it would have to be a V8 VF

Zafira all day long. The car is well matched to the angry men and oblivious women who drive them.

Not current, but the Fiat Stilo would be a worthy contender.
I couldn't disagree more, not that I'm biased...

...and of course, Prodrive never involved themselves with it or anything...

So yeah, totally un-PH rolleyes

Peugeot 308 1.2 (2014.) I had to look it up.

It was endured for two short journeys as a courtesy car.

Toxic levels of blandness, so little thought had gone in to matching the engine to the car, the steering feel, the stereo, even the wiper blades were boring.

I don't know if there was something wrong with the specific car I was given, however at you could change lanes by flooring it(no appreciable increase in speed) and return after a failed overtake to the nearside lane by lifting off.
To the soundtrack of sort of buzzing noise.

Least PH car I've ever driven was a Nissan Sunny 1.4LX in Red. It was a saloon, not even as practical or good looking as the hatchback version. Circa 1999.
It was an office pool car when I got my first 'proper' job after graduating. All the new recruits got the pleasure of using it for work trips where public transport wasn't practical. It had no redeeming features whatsoever, and was borderline dangerous on motorways with brakes and steering that would have been unacceptable on a lawn tractor. Its virtually a classic now though so not sure it counts.

Where new cars are concerned, it has to be the Peugeot 3008. I'm sure it gets a family from A to B without any drama, but my fridge is more interesting.

As far as new cars go, this has to be up there. I actually think the Ford range is pretty good from a PH perspective, even at the lower end (i.e. small engine Fiestas remain pretty good in comparison to their competition). However, there surely couldn't be a car further away from the PH ethos than the Ecosport. Even the name sends shudders down my spine let alone the looks.

Out of the cars I've driven/owned it would not be the Fiat Multipla. Loved mine - still miss it occasionally - bags of character, bags of space, great for a wine run as well (think I dropped the rear seats down for that trip). Having said that it's a very marmite car - one friend of mine nicknamed it the Uglapla, and when another friend of mine suggested getting ones as well his wife suggested she'd divorce him if he did.

For me there can be only one car based on personal experiences. My first job, which required me to go to customer sites, came with a last generation Vauxhall Cavalier 1.7 TD LS (or was it SL - one up from the L). Hateful car. No character, badly made, caused me a bad back every long journey, boring to drive. The only thing in it's favour was a large boot. Utterly anonymous.

Nothing to distinguish it. Most people don't even know it exists. If you didn't know it existed and now do I'm afraid to say the knowledge won't enhance your life in any way.

I think it's a little harsh, in Malaysia there are turbo conversions and a fair following, the 1.3 is quite lively.

Any new small hatchback... I've driven a few recently and they all felt numb, oversized, uncomfortable and underpowered.

To the gent who suggested the Volvo V70... NAH! The D5/T5 engine makes it one of the best straight line q-car and a fantastic load lugger!

I'd very much disagree with the Fiesta being in that list. I've had 2 of them (pre/post facelift), that shape had some lovely revvy engines (1.25/1.4/1.6 zetec engines, not the ancient 1.3 unit) and great handling compared to the mainstream competition at the time.

See I can't agree with the antithesis of PH being cheap, practical cars. Basic utility transport for families isn't anti-PH and besides...it frees up cash for a weekend car that never works properly.

Surely the most anti-PH car is an expensive car with pretentions of being PH that fails miserably, based on similar logic to how Top Gear arrived at the Lexus SC430 as the worst car in the world.

The CitiRover is inexcusable though.
