This is good general rule IMO about all BMW's. If you are not getting a proper M, avoid M-Sports.

I recently got a 1 series coupe as a daily and holy god the M-sport was firm!

Got an SE in the end on 17's and its 100% better for daily driving.
Or just get it off run flats.

The Bilstiein dampers they use on most M-Sports are actually more compliant on poor UK roads than the cheaper Boge/Sachs dampers they use on the SE cars, however, the fun flats hide this.

I'd pay extra to not buy a car from West Yorkshire.
What a stupid statement.

When we say West Yorkshire, what wr mean is actually Bradford. Innit bruv.

The M-sport I tried had run flats and the SE I bought has run flats so I guess it was comparable at the time.

Once they wear out though im definitely getting rid. Nothing good to say about them.

From someone who had an E60 M5 for 3 years and now driving an E90 B3 4-door and looking at the F10 M5, I have to say the 'it is bland, boring, unexciting' comments were all there for the E60 M5 7 years ago so very entertaining to read now how epic that V10 really is. That car had bigger of an agricultural gearbox that needed putting up with daily but I really had the happiest years of motoring when I finally learned to put it into full power mode before taking off anywhere (not the M mode but just power) - wish I learned to do that right from the start! Now, after 4 years of 'sensible' B3 ownership I can't take my eyes off there relatively clean facelift £35k F10s that can be nearly 700bhp with as rude of an exhaust sound sound as you like for 40k.

Wife and two kids. Somebody please talk me out of it..
