I'm perfectly realistic and understand that gritting of every back road is not possible of course but the example I use here is the major A road from the busiest sea port in europe to our capitol.
What has Rotterdam got to do with this?
biggrin smart arse!

I rammed my Allegro sideways into a kerb (my fault - not the councils!) at about 15 - 20 mph back in 1993 and all was well.

This thread illustrates the meaning of hubris and nemesis better than anything from classical literature.

I've been driving around past the abandoned / crashed cars with no major issues, ahhh the joys of 300 BHP and AWD. I've been using all the little back / country lanes to get around all the snarl ups hehe

Clearly the councils fault for gritting the pond, thus melting the ice.

I have good feel for what's going on and good car control when the unexpected does happen ....but then I am, after all .....a driving God.

He should have bought an MX5 or perhaps a 535d (remapped).

As legend has it, they can both walk on water wink

Has the best bits of Piston Heads 2009 gone on sale yet? If not hold the press!

Seriously though, glad the OP is taking the ribbing with good humour, it could happen to all the other driving gods out there after all, and that includes me.

My shame would be to get stuck in a ditch and needing a 4x4 to pull me after all my posts about you don't need 4x4 and winter tyres and just need a light car with a bit of fandango on the wheel and the handbrake .. oh the shame that would be, the mercy of it paperbag

Andy (not yet crashed)
