best colour

I really really like that
I liked those colours so much I used them!!
Was quite a challenge getting the paintcode for a Porsche which at the time (Oct 09) hadn't been released yet!

Some seriously dissapointing posts - but maybe not surprising. If you don't ike it save yourself 120k and don't go down to the dealer. Please accpet on the other hand that there are people on here both with and without deposits that are really excited by this car, it's a Porsche RS for crying out loud. This is an enthusiasts site too.......

If any grown man on here seriously cares about what Jo Public (re comments of scaffolding and graphics) thinks he looks like in his car then I suggest they take some self-esteem classes or something. Almost all negativity towards to material objects is nealy always borne out of jealousy anyway.

As for the price differential between this and the standard car, it is built in much more limited numbers and is a good deal more exclusive. The car is admittedly only subtly different driving wise and you are buying into the RS brand - I am definitely a subsriber that brand. We are all guilty of that in some way or another.

Cars like this won't exist in the future. Celebrate them. Here I come Tesco's
It's an incredible car, If I had to have one with the graphics I would snap someone's arm for the keys..but with the choice I don't see the point of them. I wouldn't have the balls to criticise anyone who bought one with the graphics ...they get to drive an RS

Grey with red wheels minus the graphics, I just don't like them aesthetically speaking, the wing is all purpose, I've come to like it. As for the red lipstick, I would kiss it in the nose and then proceed to drive it to the ring.

A great car from Porsche. (The Blue/Brushed Brass combo looks the best IMO)

I personally prefer cars that come out from the Ferrari factory, and generally speaking I can understand some of the views on this site in that arguably Porsche design is boring or questionable(I mean, how many of the 911 iterations have come out since its inception??? Also the 928, Cayenne, Panamera, even the Boxter and the Cayman look average, not helped by the numbers of 911's Boxters and Caymans on the road. The 904 looks great and so do a few of the older 911s but that's about it. This GT3 RS? well the graphics in the whole is a bit Chav, and the louder colour combinations questionable IMO, but all to their own.

Having said all this, I understand why so many people buy Porches (and would want to buy one), and I'd definitely give exception to the RS, GT3 and GT3 RS versions, and be very tempted to buy one, because they really go to town on the engineering and performance, and having heard a couple of examples of the most recent GT3 and this GT3 RS (thus far only on the internet video posts) they sound great! I can only imagine that the way the performance is delivered is truly breathtaking too, and the people who have had a chance to drive them confirm this.

Rear scaffolding just looks a bit pants to me - cant help thinking you'd look a bit of an arse driving to the shops in it.
Regurgitated, Clarkson quoted, drivel. Your missing the whole point of this car if you think its for shopping in. Trackdays, sunday morning hoons and autobahns only driving
fk off. Happy to not agree, but this is my view. Nothing to do with CLarkson thank you.

If I had the money to have this car for track days only, then fine. The 997 I (and my wife) drive is a daily drive, and we want to be able to use it all the time - including driving to customers in it. So FOR ME I wouldnt have somehting with naff graphics and a huge spolier on the back. No issue with anyone else liking it - variety is the spice of life.

A bit of a liberty, that after spending over 100 grand, they won't let you have black stickers on a blue car.

An interesting question is could you make a standard GT3 as good as this for less than £18k? I think it would be worth giving it a go.

Also, how much does that extra crash protection weigh? Junking that would lead to a good saving shirely?

Looks like the trip to Halfords paid off then. I have to say that would cause me loss of sleep for all the wrong reasons.

Are you referring to the rear spoiler?

Is it me or are all the comment of "crashed into halfords", "that roll cage is pants", "those graphics are disgusting", "you couldn't use it everyday" COMPLETELY POINTLESS!!!!

Pretty sure the Porsche GT3 is the one you'd buy then...the GT3 RS is a track focussed car...

IMO these comments are irrelevant! If you wanted a daily/subtle/usable car then buy the standard trim GT3/Turbo/GT2??? It's not as if the GT3RS is Porsche's only offering.....

I think the supports for the rear wing would look better in black than grey, they stand out a bit much in that colour.

The wheels are fantastic, surprised not more people like them.

I think the slightly curved design of the supports would be better off like the race car version, straight, like in the GT3 R:

But this is nitpicking, as I said, grey, red wheels, no decals, please wrap it up, I'll take it!

The point is there are enough middle aged men who has the money to buy these vulgar panzer-racers - Porsche have hired some clever marketing people.

Porsche is all about image and spin - 90% of so-called enthuasts will rave on about their heritage when they dont even know what their heritage conisists of

Speaking of history and graphics, Porsche have always done loud paint jobs with lairy graphics from the original RS through the 924 Carrera GT and 944 turbo to this. I LOVE IT!

As other have said, if you want a quiet and subtle Porsche, they sell other models that will suit...The RS line demands special treatment IMO and long may that continue.

I'm referring to many aspects of it. To put it another way, if you saw this car on someone's drive and knew nothing of this model, my view is that you'd think the owner had chavved it up. I KNOW the pieces are functional and doubtless beautifully crafted but fast Porsches haven't had to look like this in the past.

Everyone is focused on the looks, it's not built for show offs for crying out loud - its for driving enthusiasts who want an ultra rare and raw driving machine that is 100% focused.

The standard Gt3 is more suitable for everyday in terms of set-up and looks etc. This is for someone that wants something to drive balls out every once and a while.

If you are worried about the spoiler and the graphics you are missing the point, I am sure the team at Porsche in charge of the ddevlopment of this car would point out that these are the least relevant aspects of the car. If you don't see it that way stick to your C2S - I think this car will be incredible to drive. I love hardcore uncompromised cars, this is exactly that.
