£10 postage, prefer collection?!? For a piece of paper rofl One assumes he's charging for carriage of the plastic plated themselves... Bizarre.

Worrying still is that I'm beginning to think many people have today purchased 11 plates with the intention of putting them on their current (pre 11) vehicles...

I don't suppose this was around Watlington? I recognise the first 2 numbers but fortunately not the last one.

I would be genuinely concerned that you would win that auction, and he'd simply send the plates- No transfer, nothing... Certainly wouldn't surprise me with the amount of utter mongwits around.

Judging by the amount of st plates people are buying on an '11' plate I think this thread will go nuts on the 1st of March.

Have you had a look on the other threads? My word, it's embarrassing.

"Ooh! Look everyone I've just got SS11MNN! My name is Simon!"

Oh, I though it was Ssiimnn judging by the plate you've got.

absolutely!.. somebody (maybe you) has also mentioned that whilst the 11 plate release has created a lot of 'clever' word variations, it also means everybody's gonan need a brand new car to put them on.. Or have a lot of people forgotten you can't put 11 plate on older car?
