So what car have you been obsessing about today?? (Vol 2)

As usual, it's the big-engined M3-bodied E30s. I know they're supposed to be a bit nose-heavy, and lack the race-pedigree of the S14-engined regular M3s, but that doesn't stop me wanting one more than a lifetime's supply of Jaffa Cakes!
Alpina B6 3.5S (with a reworked 260hp M30 6-cyl from the 535i):
Hartge H35S-24 (with a reworked 330hp M88 6-cyl from the M5):
Love these so much. Alpina B6 3.5S (with a reworked 260hp M30 6-cyl from the 535i):

I have no idea about Hartge numbers Leins but Birds made up all the rhd cars so should know, and Hartge themselves might have kept tabs on all their conversions. Unlike AMG and Alpina, Hartge were never granted Manufacturer status by the German government so their cars remain tuner conversions however much they changed the cars.
I do know of an interesting rhd E34 Hartge, the H5 4.7, the same 340bhp as the E34 M5 and Alpina B10 4.6 and similar massive torque to the Alpina. There was only one rhd car and it was fitted with the Birds developed 'Switch-Logic' control system for the ZF 4HP and 5HP automatic gearboxes. The car has done well over 200k miles and is still and in good shape.
I think I also might be tempted to sell a car to buy a B6 3.5 or B6 3.5S; a four door saloon B6 3.5 would be quite a sleeper old 3 series wouldn't it?

This Super VR4 rep going through an auction in Japan later on today -
A little lairy for a daily driving saloon but I could live with it once I switched over the LPG conversion and interior from my current one to this. This and some spare change or an Evo X? Decisions decisions!

Acquired taste I know! Those headlights are worth a few bob too. Missed out on the auction though.I've gone back to looking at the Evo X again instead. It just seems like the perfect all rounder and a lot of peformance for the money. Plus the X is a rare sight on the roads, at least round where I live. I've seen more C63 AMG's in the past 7 days than I have seen Evo X's in the past year.

It certainly would, I'm trying to imagine mine with another 70bhp - quite "lively" I'd imagine. Don't recall any B6 Tourings though, which is a shameI do know of an interesting rhd E34 Hartge, the H5 4.7, the same 340bhp as the E34 M5 and Alpina B10 4.6 and similar massive torque to the Alpina. I've heard of that big-engined H5 before, although I think I'd prefer your E34 B10
There's something very wrong with me, but this streetKA. It's small, manual, economical, under £2.5k, only has 15k miles. Simplicity and a bit of economical fun for the city. Hopefully they have the nice ford drive from the era as well.

Cliché, but a Mk 1 MX5.
Blearyeyedgirl and I came across the MX5 Owners' Club while going to an National Trust place at the weekend. I was surprised when she mentioned she liked the Mk 1's because they look nice with pop up lights... and she keeps commenting on how affordable they are.
I'm clearing a space in the garage before she changes her mind!

W204 C63 AMG. I keep looking at cars to replace my Galant VR4. Sadly the Evo X doesn't make the cut as the boot is too small. A few bags more gets you a thundering 6.2 na V8. Only downside is the interior on the prefacelift and the sheer amount of tits who drive them.
It's either that or an E90 M3 saloon, Alpina B3 or the Lexus ISF. A B8 S4 would be cheaper but it's a V6.
Pity I don't have enough pennies for any of them. Not yet anyway!
