My holy grail barge was re-advertised today. If the 107 sells this week I will be off to dorset for a look. I think its cheaper than last time it was up? Passenger side lower sacco looks badly painted.

We've just uploaded the report of our Mx5 race car at Cadwell Park. Why am I posting it here you ask? Well we've got a W210 Estate support vehicle which has just had I think the best barge modification ever....

£50 more expensive! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=1&a...http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C634195#
I agree with the above - the paint doesn't look quite right.

I see it has the "Exclusiv" leather option, leather trim everywhere the lesser cars have plastic. The window tint doesn't do it for me but that'd be easily solved. I am not sure what these cars are fetching in the real world. A couple of years ago, even very good examples were struggling to make £3k in private sales.
It's a series 1 so all the issues of the wiring, MAF sensors and other gubbins which I cannot recall at the moment.Mile are low but they can do double that without any issue so I would buy on mechanical condition and service history before anything else.
It is not clear whether it has the adaptive suspension (ADS) (the rear self-levelling mentioned in ad was on all the S600's) but, personally, I would steer clear of ADS cars.
Personally, I would look for a 1996-1998 in a good S500L variant or a decent (rare as hen's teeth) S600L of the same period

I thought all 600s had Exclusiv? We just broke the sister car to this for parts!
Exactly the same colour combo and model year. It drove and ran well but was a bit tatty cosmetically. We had it advertised for ~6 months at £1995.

Doesn't look like it has the ADS switch. Although obscured by the steering wheel, the gap above the heated seat switch is too large.Mile are low but they can do double that without any issue so I would buy on mechanical condition and service history before anything else.

The ad said: 'This is the(hydro-pneumatic) model - prior to air suspension which can be big money to repair.'Seems therefore not to have ADS, non?
Apparently ex-James Hunt 560. Needs a little TLC. 4k, but negotiable.

I was listening to the radio earlier which proclaimed some bloke called Joey Essex just flew his hairdresser out to Ibiza because he wanted a mid holiday trim. Moral of the story... Some people have more money than they care about
This is true but then I wouldn't expect that sort of person to be owning an old AMG Merc. Can't tell time.

It's unclear. The quote says "This is", so suggesting it has, whereas the photos (that we can see) don't show the ADS button/don't appear to anyway as an earlier poster pointed out.Seems therefore not to have ADS, non?

Looks like a decent example, 1 owner from new, miles are sort of high at 125k, but that's only 15k per year.

This is over the £1,500 budget but has a lot of recent work done, also getting rare in this condition...
