Nice story. I remember sitting in a Panavia Tornado at my "Uncles" ( he wasn't really just a friend of my Dad's who'd borrowed his orbital sander once smile ) Bomber base at RAF Lakenheath when I was about 10 years old. Had to empty my pockets of sweet wrappers, rubber bands and toy soldiers just in case the pilot went inverted and got a sticky blackjack wrapper stuck to his visor! I got spoiled rotten by the pilots in the officers mess. Fantastic experience for a young boy and something I'll never forget. smile

They're from last years Italy Tour. I'm sure he'll be along when the US is in daylight hours to add some pictures smile

You can see some of his pics here -

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthre...

and if you are feeling flush, you can, like me, buy a copy of the book that contains images and the story of the tour for £400

I am wondering at what point, given F1's continuing rapid ascent into the stratosphere price wise, Flemke will succumb and move the car on.

£5m? £8m? £20m?

Well, he still owns it and some F1 prices have already exceeded the 1st 2 choices smile

Hmmm - not sure you'd get £8m for one a standard one - $8m perhaps.

Mr F is alive and well and things are getting considerably more stable.

We should be testing the car next week with some brake mods - I'll take some pics and maybe some video, should anyone be interested.

I somehow doubt that with all the time, effort and passion he's dedicated into making this car exactly how he wants it and how he feels it should be, that he'll ever sell it.

Then again, if someone chucked £10 million plus your way...

Great news that things are getting more stable, I miss Flemke's comments on this and other PH threads, hope he is able to rejoin us soon. Looking forward to hearing more about the brake mods.

At least 1 F1 sale has exceed £8m recently. Its only a metter of time before there are more hitting those dizzy heights

Good to hear Mr F is back to testing the car imminently - there may be some mild interest in pics and video wink
