Is that a Mk3 Escort underneath then? I had been thinking it might be a Peugeot 309.
It's utter gash of the worst type. Hundreds of kilos of fibreglass and filler to produce a car which is objectively a worse vehicle than the already mediocre base car means it definitely belongs here.
Yes it is mk3 Escort. Not commenting on the rest......It's utter gash of the worst type. Hundreds of kilos of fibreglass and filler to produce a car which is objectively a worse vehicle than the already mediocre base car means it definitely belongs here.

I feel like there is something wrong with some of these posts as I haven't been that offended by the last few cars in this thread. The Escort has almost certainly featured on this topic before and has been around for a long time now. it's a Reiger F40 kit that back in the 90s would be considered the daddy of wide arch bodykits and a good few £££.
To me there is a huge difference between the awful Ka with rubbish stickers and other tat stuck on and the Escort that has had an extensive bodykit blended (very well by the looks of it) into the original bodywork before finishing it with a decent paint job.
I half-like it (or rather I half-tolerate it) but then again, I don't have much taste either.

Jesus - did he literally just spray the entire thing without masking a single thing off? I mean the lights are black, the plates have overspray - looks like the windscreen and windows are tinted too.. The entire description is a nightmare to read!
ETA - made it to the end of the description - it has no v5? how is it registered in his name then?

Sadly not too surprising, anyone buying a car without a V5 has little in the way of intelligence.

Whereas in years gone by I bought many and various cars sans any documentation and never had a problem the game has changed new and I never buy without full documentation or pay not a lot say just over scrap value otherwise. I collect kit cars and I regularly warn individuals looking never to buy anything barn find or not without documentation. With IVA and the requirement for full complete documentation proving provenance for the donor parts etc a Q plate is the best you can get if in fact the DVLA will actually register the car. There are unregisterable cars offered on eBay daily and I avoid every one as I said earlier the game has changed. So many disappointed aspiring owners the lesson is clear. Documentation is essential today for trouble free motoring.yellowjack said:
