Some idiot blocking my drive with half the road empty. Wouldn't mind if it was a neighbor but it's a car that I don't recognise.
I had this yesterday, car parked perfectly across my drive, despite there being parking available either side. But then I noticed someone sat in the car so I knocked on the window asking them to move, "Just give me a minute, wifes nipped to shop up road and I don't have the keys", then he shut the door. It's as if I was in the wrong asking him to move the car 6ft further down the road so I could get off the drive. Completly inconsiderate parking, even if they were going to be just a minute, just park 6ft further along and there'd be no issue.

I'd have got him to lift the handbrake and then got him to push it.

Could have been an auto or have an electric parking brake.

I do not believe that gen of clio had an electronic parking brake.

You were referring to a quote about a story that had a picture. The quote you replied to did not reference a car.

Our local recycling centre (TIP) tried to enforce reverse in but that fell fowl when people couldn't get long things out the cars. Spaces were car sized and backed up to the bin areas with only 1m of space. Now less spaces and forwards in only.

parked liked this when we went into Pizza Hut and it hadn't moved nearly 90 minutes later. Some people!
I do that....Only when there is other spaces around. I prefer end bays against a kerb though and keep well to the side.

Car doesn't have a single door ding on it and I want to keep it that way.
It's a stty little 04 reg Seat, I could understand where you are coming from more if it was a newer car.

Ah! the famous minute. Minimum of ten, usually nearer twenty.

I think that was a joke, or similar.

Yep. Set the stop watch (less the time already taken) then call the police as it's something they'd deal with isn't it?

In fairness, they've at least decoupled the glider trailer from the car. Had they left it coupled with the car also straddling some spaces, that would have been an extra few bags taken up.

The rear-swing on glider trailers when going round tight bends is quite impressive, that particular trailer looks to be a slightly shorter one, go to a gliding site and you'll see some particularly impressive long ones. At a hotel/site without HGV parking there's no much you can do with a glider trailer, combination length can be over 40ft.

Seriously, who gives a fk about other people facing in or out? It's their choice! confused

Bad parking however is a different thing and one people should be accountable for...
Well its relevant to the situation, all the bays at the recycling centre are accessed via a one way road and the bays are slanted at 45 degrees to that, so in order for them to park in forwards they have to do a 6 point turn to get into it, then they have to do the same in reverse to get out!

Doing multi point turns to get into a space isnt bad parking, its just stupidity.
